1. I sell on stuff if it doesn't get played. I've only ever owned stuff I really like so it requires being a little ruthless at times. Right now I am back down to 4 basses and that figure wont be getting higher. My GAS days are over and I prefer spending money on other things now. It was fun whilst it lasted though
2. I'm No 1 in my Mum's eyes & that's all that matters
3. People can of course do whatever they want. I think the reality is that when the hard times hit (& life is after all a series of highs and lows) it's the duplicates that go. I have 2 Precisions now but at my peak had 5. I probably wouldn't bother with several of the same model again but it was good fun whilst it lasted.
4. I had a bunch of Warwick cases about 5yrs ago and they were always really good, well made and reliable. They were cheaper than that too so assume that is a deluxe case
5. Pete in action - and yes he is a left hooker, not a mirror image photo
6. As per my PM - see pic
7. I've got some from a 62RI Fender USA Jazz that I'd sell on for £22 if you are interested? No worries if not - bought them on here and they were only ever used briefly for a project bass I sold for parts
8. Oh & bizarrely my picture is on the wall above the bar - during my Glam / Sleaze days, a casual shot of my guitarist and I outside the Marquee Club. Very strange. I remember someone taking it at the time - just a random stranger!
9. Relax, be yourself and just enjoy. Best of luck
10. We're going to bin our MySpace soon which is around 5000 fans as it's just awful. Facebook is better although I think we only have 300 - 400 fans. It's people who (mainly) want to be there though, rather than promote their own thing. So again I don't think it's about numbers
11. BigRedX makes a valid point about how up for it the crowd are. Smallest - 3 plus pub staff (twice!) Largest - about 900
12. I listed this on EBay but figured I'd make mention of it on these here pages too http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Electro-Acoustic...2#ht_500wt_1156 I know everyone says this but I really didn't want to sell this but needs must edited as per Blademan's comment - cheers
13.

I read the thread title & was just checking for a gratuitous pussy shot Here it is! I like this collection. It has mojo
14. Nobody has said the root note! Do we really have favourite notes? I mean, really?
15. I played there a bunch of times between 2004-7. I can only echo what has already been said. It's a good venue & a nice show but I doubt you'll be collecting stories to share with grandchildren from the night
16. I think "mate of the shop owner" best sums me up. I hang around the store, get given coffee, chat for a while but refer people to the shop & have spent a lot in the past. In other shops I don't really care how I'm seen. My buying gear days are over now and I rarely go in
17.
Because I have taste.
Ah, a 2 colour sunburst man! or possibly not?!?
18. I've owned (past tense) two basses worth just shy of £1600 and I was scared to play them out live too much. The £600 - £800 range seems to meet my needs in terms of quality verses not being too upset if they get knocked or dented. It's hard justifying the expensive ones when times get tight too I've always said owning an instrument is a hugely personal thing so whether you are rocking a sub £100 bass or spending £5k, so long as you are enjoying it, fair play to you
19. I started with this Admittedly it was a 57RI but I switched the neck to a 62RI. I've since changed the pickup, addded the ashtrays, changed the nut, replaced the pickguard.... I can't think of another bass I'd like to have started out with. It's played all over the UK, and still goes out live with me now. The thing I'd change is not buying 300 other basses to come back to the original! (ok, maybe not 300 but my point is there)
20. Having owned both that bass and that head (albeit the 135 version) that is going to be a killer set up
21.
How about the comments of it only having one sound? I love the Orange sound, personally, just being devils advocate (dont bite me!).
I'm not as bold as Wayne to suggest it's the best amp ever for everyone but for me it is the ultimate amp. If the one sound it does happens to be the sound that you were after, than it most certainly will blow your mind.
22. Exactly like this http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/...Tuner-Pedal/CGB I bought mine end of last year or start of this year but my plans of using a pedal board never materialised so bar a couple of times out the box in the first week it never got used & certainly never left my house. It's a decent tuner and looks cool as anything. £39 including UK delivery for something that is effectively as new. If you check my feedback I pride myself on immediate dispatch. Still has the box and instruction manual - see pic I've uploaded. Listed on EBay and sold in under 5 mins! I need to stop undercutting myself!
23. Love my 500w head & it really is all I need
24. I have a ticket for his Basingstoke show and can't wait. I really tire of the negative comments on here sometimes around Wyman. Len derby makes a valid point. I don't get why he's not given more respect (Bill, not Len!)
25.
That would be Cropredy. The Cropredy. Brasenose has an excellent rep and its a great place. I'd planned to swing by for your gig but herself cornered me into a stereotypically awful dinner party miles away in Bagshit, Surrey. Glad it went well, though.
Great people, great venue. Next time maybe, dinner parties allowing
