It's in Hove, but will only ship to continental US, but if you are in the Dayton Ohio area you can go and see it A pissed or stupid scammer?

Serious, you only have a few days before you are back at work. Go into SoundsLive and try one, the weight difference and pups are worth it. Mind you, if you get a new one, get one from GAK, lot cheaper than Soundslive (and that's not Sunburst!) http://www.soundsliveshop.com/p/Fender_Geddy_Lee_Jazz_Bass/FEN-0257702906

Hello all. My Geddy has attracted little interest, I need less basses hence this one going up. 2006, Korean with Fralin. Includes Gator hardcase and mint green (mucky white) scratchplate. Based on Glaub's 1964 Fender Precision. Excellent condition, 2 little dints in back of neck, quite a bit of " certain light" scuffing on the back. Two proper scratches on the back, neither through paint. The markers on the fretboard are the same as on the Sheehan Attitude. They are high quality stick on's that you cannot feel. If you choose to remove them, no residue is left behind. On one of the photos of the back it looks like a lot of scratches. It is actually light shining off the tips of the blades of grass, being reflected in the bass It has a Jason Lollar jazz pick up professionally installed (last owner timmchale2009 got it done) Jazz Bass Pickups JBass It still only has two rotaries, front is concentric. Top part is jazz pup vol, bottom is P pup vol. This apparently means no volume bleed between the two. The back rotary is just a master tone. No PAINPal I'm afraid, cleared cheque, cash on collection or bank transfer. If you are non UK, I will ship, but you will need to sort your own courier and insurance. My feedback is at the bottom of all my posts. Bass is £600 collected from Wigan, or £635 UK couriered/insured. Fell free to sort own courier. POSSIBLE TRADE for Fiesta Red Road Worn jazz. I like Mex basses I owned this bass before and allowed Tim £650 for it against my AV62 RI Jazz, but happy with £600 cash. Any trial in Wigan,no obligation. Many thanks, Karl.
I agree with that as well. I can't remember playing a good Mexi. I'd put them on par with the VM Squiers. The CV Squiers blow the Mexis away.
Sorry pal, your generalisation is bollocks.
A similar thing happened to me. The guy said he had already owned a the same bass I was selling, but still asked where it was made. I thought that strange but so what, I got a sale. Checking this guy out it seemed he had a lot of sales on here but no community posts. Months later it was on here for more money being sold by a different member (with. Very low post count IIR), with no indication of its history, not even when I posted a light hearted post in the thread. That was totally ignored. It wasnt even mentioned that it was already secondhand. It had a couple of issues when I sold it, and I was up front about that, I'd also ripped it apart at some point to change pups and electrics etc. The new owner was well aware of its history, they got in touch with me, so it's all good, but to me it's obvious the are some people treating our once safe place as a cheaper, and less legal alternative to eBay etc, with no real beinifit to this community. it was at this point I felt BC was not the place it used to be. I'm careful now to who I sell things to. I am a good hearted person, and will let things go a bit cheaper to help others, but I will always check posting history now, and if I think it's just some one buying and selling they can look elsewhere for a bargain. They are doing nothing wrong of course, I just won't sell to some one I feel is just in it for the money.
+1
In a word , yes. The wood that isn't as good, goes to Mexico. Little parts that cost a few pennies less, go to Mexico. The workers are cheaper so the quality control isn't up to the same standards. They don;t use the reinforcement in the neck like they've don on the later MIA models. They cut big holes in the body so they can have machines install the wiring. There is certainly a difference between the MIM and the MIA. Then again, I think a Squier CV is superior to a MIM, but not a MIA.
Tried all the MIM's have you? Over the last couple of years the Sea Foam FSR and Antigua FSR are basses I've regretted moving on. Splendidly made instruments. My Mex Geddy is also superb, albeit on it's way out. Moving the Geddy and Miller to Mexican production, after 14 years of being made in Japan, makes it a hard act to follow. Judging by comments in other threads, it has been a success. I also regret moving on a 2000 Mex Precision Deluxe (the passive one, model before the current active). Had Martin build an SEI to my spec a decade ago, moved on long ago. Times change, opinions change, disposable income changes. It still hacks me off though, how much slagging Mex basses get, until it gets to the Road Worn series
Heh, heh. Mind, there are far more piss takers on FEEBay. 5 year old P's for more than a new un etc
The same "community" that has sold me knackered gear in the past & then used the old "well it was fine when it left me" line to wash their hands of all responsibility. I've been f***ed over for best part of £1000 on here so don't anybody dare have the nerve to talk to me about the noble community spirit that this forum has when it comes to buying & selling stuff.
That is frankly appaling. At the risk of lobbing hand grenades, they really should be named and shamed. Both sides of the situation would be good. Not to judge, but to make any decisions if others wish to deal with them. I hope you left relevant feedback.
It depends what it is. I bought an '86 Gibson Explorer Bass for £450 and sold it for £650. Also bought a Gibson Grabber for £400 and sold it for £850. However that was on eBay, and I took a bit of a risk with both listings because all that was provided was one or two phone-camera pictures and a hastily written sentence or two. I sold them back on with proper photographs and descriptions. There's also the fact that Gibson basses from that era are appreciating in value. When I sell on here though I just look to get my money back, unless I bought something new in which case it'll be listed for the going rate.
Wish I'd known about the Gibson Explorer

I can't find any feedback for bassgurumonster which is highly embarrassing as this is the second deal I have done with Mike this year. Anyway, on this occasion my Bleached Blonde Ltd Ed Warwick found it's way to Mike, whilst I got an absolutely stunning US Vintage RI 75 jazz and a few quid. First deal was a beautiful Rick 4004C to me, USA Precision and quite a few bob to him. Mike is a fantastic bloke to deal with and his gear is superb. DEAL WITH ABSOLUTE CONFIDENCE FOLKS! Thanks for everything Mike and see you soon. Cheers, Karl.
Cheers Karlfer, it's tricky as I've had quite a few really nice trade offers but I need the cash so I've scuppered at least half of any potential deals already. D'oh!
I know the feeling. My thinking was I can always sell a good jazz on easily. Defies belief that basses as good as these Warwicks appear to be an acquired taste. If mine had had 20 frets it would have gone nowhere. But I'm an old git, I can't see past the 20th fret Bump.
