1.
No worries Karl The way you both go through gear they'll all be on the market again in a few weeks...
What's this WEEKS stuff
2. Sorry Geoff. Jose pm'd me at 2.38am, I replied at 7.35am. Then I think it was around 10.15am you joined the fray. I had no intention of selling mine, then I saw these. Pretty pictures always get me in trouble. I had no idea Jose would take part trade, but he offered to look at a deal including some cash from me. Lot of messages crossing each other I think. Apologies, Karl.
3.
Oh sod it. PM incoming!
Beware, Jose was still on at 3am, he may be a tad grumpy
4. Oh believe me, 100 miles to Carlisle is no issue. It's the law of sales that's the issue. The law is; your cabs sell two minutes before mine. I end up with no cabs and an irate landlord, drummist and 2 gaytartists
5. Carlisle, that's only 100 miles up [s]the car park [/s]M6 from me Stop it Jose, I'm starting to get obsessed
6.
Give me a shout if you decide to shift your S112s Karl!
Spookily enough you are not the first to say that. Anybody would think I'm a fickle, oooh shiny, buy it, magpie gear whore. Oh, wait a minute..........
7. Stunning. And a bargain price! So many cabs, so little time GLWTS, doubt you will need it.
8. Shame my 2 x S112's are black tolex or I might have been putting a proposal to you regarding you red fella's We likes red's don't we my preciousssssss
9.
DEHP is di-(2-ethylhexyl)-phthalate, a plasticiser. Phthalate plasticisers are now banned in children's toys throughout the EU because of the toxicity concerns referred to. As long as you don't suck any of the plastic parts for a period of several years, you should be fine.
Best not let our drummer near one then (oh c'mon, somebody had to ).
10. Great service from Alex, well done him!
11. The one box solution would be a 2 x 12, TKS or possibly TecAmp to match with the PUMA head. I had a Barefaced S12V, Gen 11 and most of the time it was superb, but in a couple of regular venues it was almost impossible to eq out a touch of "farting". Not excessive, but audible enough to irritate me. Or I might just stop being a prat magpie gear whore and just get the TKS grills powder coated. Perhaps Rickenfaker Radio Active Snot-Glo
12. Used mine last night. 2.5 hour gig at very large pub in Darwen, Lancs. Punchy when needed, smooth when needed. Worked very well with PUMA 500, Gramma pad and passive Fender P/J. Plenty of bottom end for me. According to wireless gaytartist, they sounded great, no dispersion, farting or volume issues. One of the great beauties is of course the lightness of these cabs. Despite this they feel really well made. Only "issue" for me is constantly thinking about a 1 box solution, just to save on trips per night. Whilst both cabs can easily be carried at the same time, there are still usually a lot of (punter blocked) doors to negotiate Never happy me , Victor Meldrew's mentor.
13. I like the simplicity, it seems to have all the basic functionality needed for a weekend warrior like me. Just an opinion of course
14. 40mm nut, similar profile neck to NateMendel sign, so between standard P and J. Strong enough to hammer nails in, keep drummers/punters in place. Neck pup, get your Bad Co smooth on. Middle (P) pup, get yer 'Arry on. More growl than a pissed off Rottweiler. Mix both, loads of variation. MASSIVELY under rated basses. I've finally got down to 3 basses. Please buy this and save me from myself
15. Martin, you're not a Mod you're a very silly boy I am delighted to announce I've finally actually sold a bass rather than succumbing to more beautiful bass trades. I'm so proud SOLD thank you.
16. No Dunc, it's just I'm too easily talked into trades rather than sales I'm afraid Withdrawn folks, my Blue Am Std P sold. Thanks for all the interest, cheers, Karl.
17. Jeez, so many this last year or so RIP Glen, you were magnificent.
18. I've put my American Deluxe Precision up for sale now. Whichever goes first, the other will be withdrawn, cheers, Karl.
19. Well come on Jose, gigged yet???? I'm on an enforced gig hiatus (work travel/meetings) until next weekend so mine haven't been tried in anger yet. Home trial (which I'm never a fan of) has immediately revealed great, punchy cabs, just how I like them . LOVIN that Blue . Thinking of getting my grills powder coated with a big white stripe down the middle, (Toon colours).
20.
Thanks chaps, much appreciated. Karl I have a Maruszczk P bass, got it about 3 weeks ago. Very muddy pickup + other stuff. not happy really , then I had this stroke thing. Gonna put one of John's looms and a Delano pickup in. very light tho'
Disappointing start Tom but sounds like a man with a plan. Get well soon fella. Bass is NO LONGER on hold
21. Thanks lads, really kind Tom, I hope you recover quickly my friend. You are a tough determined fella, so if anybody can. Now, my professional therapy. Order YOUR SPEC, LIGHTWEIGHT bass from Marus wotsits that WOT's always on abaht. This lovely bass is on hold folks, ta.
22. Don't think I've ever described a bass as immaculate, but this one is. American Deluxe Precision, 2012 with the big hard case and case candy. ACTIVE/PASSIVE It still has the clear protective plastic on the tuners, battery box cover, pick ups and scratchplate. Light ash body, maple neck and board, black scratchplate. 18 volt active pre amp Light for one of these at 8lb 14oz ONLY up for sale as I need to reduce numbers and my Blue American Standard Precision seems to be going nowhere sadly . £950 collected from Wigan (or I will meet up within 50 miles of there at no extra charge). Or, arrange your own INSURED courier. Apologies for photos but it's snowing outside. I THINK if you click over a photo, it might take you to my photobucket, where you can click on the zoom button to see the pictures enlarged. But don't hold me to that Any questions or trial welcome, feedback linked at bottom of this post. Many thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. 23. They never got as far as gigs. I wouldn't have dared. The only time stage volume really matters is when you don't have foh/decent monitor system. Those 2 x CLites would not have given enough volume (for me) in the larger pubs my covers band does. Against 2 Blackstar 2 x 12 guitarists and a drummer with mic'd up kick and snare. The Vanderkleys easily dealt with those robust evenings.
