1. Just the one for me: Alleva Coppolo LG4 in Sonic Blue
2.
Yup! I've heard that he's the first and currently only dealer for Barefaced, which is quite a coup. Very nice chap to deal with, too.
No, not the only one - see above
3.
Wow, it's good for my wallet that I'm dahn sarf, innit?
Hmm.. Wouldn't count on it I was in the StompBox (EffectivePowerSupplies) shop, in Northwood Hills yesterday and they too have started stocking Barefaced. They had a BigBaby cab on the floor. http://www.effectpowersupplies.com/barefaced-bass-cabs-325-c.asp
4.
I see a visit is on the cards.
Yes, look forward to trying these out
5. Use a pair of these myself - their excellent stands and this is a very good price.
6.
Dreadfully tempting. Got a price and times at all, good sir?
Ticket master are looking for £26.30 inc fees. http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/meshell-ndegeocello-london-07-11-2014/event/1F004CAC930E2FD6 Listed time is 19:00 start, though I wouldn't expect to see her before 21:00 - 21:30 P
7. Your're a better man than me Chris ! i too sold a Walkabout combo a few years back and like you, later discovered the manual + mesa brochure at home. Pretty sure I binned it
8. Just a heads up for the Meshell fans on here, of which there are quite a few - Nov 7th gig at the Jazz Cafe, In Camden Town. I've seen her there twice in the past and it a great evening. Thats Friday 7th November 2014 P
9. Sold an amp to Andy in response to his ad in the 'Wanted' forum. As in the past, Andy was great to deal with and this was a simple and trouble free transaction. P
10.
I WILL TAKE THIS AMP! PM'd! Alex
OK, looks like that takes care of it
11. Peavey guitar amp - all working, free to someone prepared to collect from Pinner, Middx (HA5). It's the 'Red Stripe' version branded 'Designed in USA', which I think was the first version to be built in China. speaker is branded 'Blue Marvel' Collection only
12.
I hear that loads of people in the US are using them with CN212's to great effect. With Berg prices currently a lot cheaper I can imagine this is a really tempting setup
Hmm, just seen that there now £855, down from £950 - tempting, even though I don't need another cab
13. As you're in the area a trip to Bass Direct to check out the CN212 (and maybe the NV115) would be a good plan. Also check out the Baer cabs they do a 212 neo which would be worth a listen too.
14. Interesting post, Barrie Be interesting too, to do a similar shoot out between the Demeter and the Jule power amp when that becomes available.
15. Westside Distribution in Denmark St are a Mesa agent in UK. It was them that had the heads on display at the London Bass show a few months back. Last time I was in their shop they had either a Strategy or Prodigy available for demo, also had quite a few Mesa cabs in stock. http://www.westsidedistribution.com/brands/mesa-boogie/
16. Sweet! I own the 4 string version on this bass - same colour scheme etc and it's the best bass I ever picked up
17.
Afterthought: somebody left an A frame stand on the stage following the P Bass test - if you'd like it back, get in contact.
That would be me, I had to leave soon after the Precision test and the stand was still in use. I'm not bothered about getting it back, tbh, as I have some spare ones. My bass, a Dingwall Super P, was missed out from the test also.
18. I' hoping to get along tomorrow and if I do, will take my Dingwall Super P along for anyone who would like to try it. I'll probably need to leave mid afternoon, though. P
19. You missed out Justin...
20.
VCRs didn't kill cinema either
Ah, but they kill the radio star
21. Agreed, I think what separates the Gallery from other shops if been to London is having Martin and John on site. When you need something done with a bass you can call in and go down stairs to the workshop and talk to the guys that know. When it's time to collect it, they show what the've done and invite you to plug in and try it out. They have done some outstanding work for me over the years, all at very reasonable prices. None of this 'leave it with me and my tech will collect it next week'.
22.
Here's a recent acquisition, a very rare USA Lakland 55-76... possibly the Holy Grail for a Stingray 5 fan who wants 19mm string spacing... that'll be me then! Custom scratch plate added by Martin at The Gallery. Plays like a dream, sounds phenomenal, light as a feather, but still balances beautifully.
Nice! Haden't seen one of these before- what year was it made?
