Haven't seen any mention of this on Basschat before... Dan Lakin - him of Lakland fame, is building basses again with a Bob Glaub and a Joe Osborn sig model due out soon. http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2014/04/16/dan-lakin-launches-d-lakin-basses-with-two-new-models/

Went to Denmark st. To buy a guitar lead
Platypus replied to RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE's topic in General Discussion
Was that close to having a sandwich on Denmark street on Monday - though wondered across the road to Ray's Jazz cafe (in Foyles bookshop) and had a panini there. Cost me more that £2.99 though. -

Home now- would liked to have caught the Paul Turner session, though was a bit late in the day for me. Thanks to a friendly exhibitor I was on the guest list, which was was nice. 1. It was free entry 2. I got in 40 mins before the the general punters and was able to catch up with people and try some stuff before the rush. P

So, what's your initial thoughts on the Demeter?
-
BassGear site is showing one in stock @ £1250 http://www.bassgear.co.uk/product/demeter/demeter-minnie-vtbp-m-800d-amp-jensen-di-option/

Think one of these three - the one the Chris recently bought, was owned by me for a short while. I already had a preamp/poweramp on order (and paid for) that was taking a while to arrive. I saw the TH on here at a good price and bought it as a stop gap. As luck would have it the ordered kit arrived very soon after that and that was why I moved on the Aggie. Would have been more that happy to just be using the Tonehammer, tbh - excellent amps.

I would definitely have opted for the di version too. To me it would be a lot more versatile with the Jensen transformer di for the sake of a 'oner'

I used a broker in the past to insure a Smith bass. They were quite efficient and familiar with insuring musical instruments. I"m going to try and find their contact details now..
