  1. Wow , that sounds like a proper sh1tstorm , take the money and run , have a sherry tomorrow and a great Christmas
  2. There is an option on your profile to hide signatures , I guess you won’t see anyone’s sig at all , but it will hide the gifs . I'm on a mobile mostly so don’t see sigs at all
  3. In the tradition of my roping in the family at Christmas time we have produced a family piece. we have a cast of three , with google translate adding a few impressions in the mix I don't reckon that we can add anything beneficial to the thing now, so I will offer it up as it is. Great fun to do and an honour to be involved . The Downcount Finale
  4. Personally I am not a greedy man , I have small needs and was brought up with the philosophy of my old father. we would each wish for only a halfpenny more than we could spend
  5. To be honest gents, my modus operandi in this joyful Christmas period, is to pick a well known song and Murder it to death. that is exactly what I am doing ! as I still haven’t got a bagpipe vst , I am making do with the panpipes, but the vocal will tell its own story 😎
  6. It could be the audience that are the imposters ! Just some people out for a beer and a chat when a band breaks out, they are not necessarily an audience we just think they are
  7. I think Django’s grandson has pretty much nailed a definition of Jazz
  8. The family Lurks are getting stuck in , I’m trying for some cheap votes with the grandson on vocals , Lurksalittle in formal mode as well as singing hopefully , loads of panpipes as I can’t find a bagpipe VST, all with a good dose of political satire thrown in . It might just end up on the studio floor yet though
  9. Might sound daft , but check which account you have asked invapay to pay into , you might be looking in the wrong place . i had similar a while back , I would normally get band payments into my personal account , so was looking there, but I had actually used the joint account for invapay! It is so infrequent that we get payed that way , that I forgot
  10. I’ve not used a B3 as an interface , but I did use a B2.1 to start up , I would never contemplate it again. i recall pulling my hair out with latency issues at the time , a proper interface is the way to go every time 👍
  11. There are a few about , the one I use is a ‘Waves’ product that I picked up for a few quid on one of their give always. they are always having a sale on
  12. I don’t sing either I Plinky plonk out a melody on the piano, learn it to memory , set the auto tune to just hit the notes in it , and hold on tight trying to warble somewhere near it . Its great fun , though I get a bit frustrated occasionally when I realise that I don’t have the voice of an angel
  13. Why thank you. that in fact, reminds me that December’s challenge has traditionally been based around recording/reworking a cover rather than a new composition This opens up the chance for BCers to enter material they have done in the year , rather than struggle to work in the Christmas run up, which can be a bit busy for many. @Skol303 @Dad3353 gents? Same again do you think 🤔
  14. The first thing I’d try in your position was a 3.5mm connector cable from the headphone out of the amp to the input mic on the laptop would that not work ?
  15. congratulations 👍 excellent piece and a worthy winner
  16. Hmm me thinks you didn’t leave enough room for a spare guitar solo then
  17. Bloody hell , are you stalking me
  18. Not necessarily , it might initiate an ‘it’s me or him’ debate without the confrontation , clear the air , and solve the issue one way or the other. decisions need to be made to get a result out of the situation or festering will be the outcome , and that isn’t healthy
  19. So he’s a knob then
  20. The trouble is that it can get very political and messy, and it can drag on for ages with beaching and rumblings that can suck the life out of everything you are trying to do. If you are not the type to to want to go through this, then then leaving is a good option , if you are the type to mainly go with the flow then, fitting in with a new crew should work out ok . sometimes a resignation can actually be a catalyst for change, as it makes the situation blindingly obvious and shows a seriousness of intention that can’t be ignored
  21. Have you checked out my soundcloud account ? I think you’ll find that I will offer some decent competition , though I started a bit later than Cliff
  22. It sounds like he is a control freak , if the band is a multiple album selling outfit earning you a great living, then he is also a great guy to play with , if you are pub covers band, he is a knob
  23. Last night was my last gig with the Razors ...and it was awesome ! Collectively, we played the 2 sets the best we ever have , the sound seemed the best it ever was , and we got a really good turnout . I got a good send off from the lads, who insist that I am only on a sabbatical! onwards and upwards , let’s see what next year brings, never say never as the warbler keeps telling me 😂
  24. I have pro 17’s and if I’m honest if 10’s were a flat response I’d prefer them . I do feel a touch disconnected when at gigs though when I’m playing they are fine. its a bit odd feeling the thump from the bass drum at a show yet without the corresponding thud 🤔 with the bass, if I am standing in top of the cab it can sound a bit quiet.
