  1. That was a close call all round! It stayed tight at the top with 3 joint winners and 5 joint runners up only a point behind , well done all 👍 With an inaugural spot on the top step I will ask @Baloney Balderdash to send me an image for the July challenge. I shall attempt the certificates this evening
  2. Any more takers to split the vote , it’s tight at the top 😁
  3. Mark radcliffe and Stuart Maconie have show on 6music at the weekends. Lard was Mark Riley , he also has shows on 6 music.
  4. Oddly I thought the crowd noises were subdued this year , almost as if they were deliberately being dubbed out , mic’d down, EQ’d to a murmur or just plain ignored. i noticed it on most shows . loved Radcliffe and Maconey this morning playing highlights and naming the stages 😂
  5. The other day I parked up on the street to find the postie leaving a parcel behind my side gate. I said sorry I wasn’t at home earlier but someone had parked a red van in front of my drive 😁
  6. the lead guitarist played at a reasonable volume ?
  7. nah , no respect for him le grand tosser in my book.
  8. Brilliantly bringing 2 different audiences together at the same time
  9. Isn’t she just , fair play
  10. they really look and sound like a band rather than spread over acres of stage, excellent. not a massive fan of NY but probably should be
  11. voting is up, great work again dudes , brilliant stuff
  12. These months just seem to fly by, but then, we get get to hear the great new jazzfunkpunk creations from @Leonard Smalls who was on fire again in MAy. So we fired up the DAW once again and showed how the following picture inspired us. "Here's a pic. it's of some UFOs I saw while on a plane to Geneva a few years ago." Have a listen through and vote for your favourite 3 tracks 1 @Al Nico amongst Us Inspired as we all are by alien music, I created this short piece in Canis Minor, building sounds on synths that portray typical sounds heard during alien encounters, including deep low bass. All dynamics have been removed to capture and portray the natural sound, feel and anxiety of being probed in a busy alien space craft hospital. 2 @Chiliwailer Jammin' with E.T. - is inspired by how I imagine it'd sound when jamming with E.T. at 30,000 feet. 3 @Baloney Balderdash So I put on Syd Barrett's spectacles, and this is what happened... : 4 @Leonard Smalls A punkyfunky thing based on a true story told by a lovely old man (Herr Wilhelm Lügner) in my local pub... 5 @upside downer Anything can happen on a plane. You could drink a hot brew, have a snooze or ingest some top quality drugs whilst watching unidentified flying objects out the window. 6 @AndyTravis Just thought about Top Gun incidental music… 7 Lurksalot no singing here then , definitely 8 @Jean-Luc Pickguard This is 'Aliens in the sky' by Jinky Fuzz. Eclectic works as descriptor for this collection, excellent also works for me ! So that's the lot please cast your three votes by midnight on 30th Enjoy
  13. Vive la republic , power to the people power to all our friends, to the music that never ends viva Cliff
  14. OK then no singing here then , definitely Ibanez 6 string through waves GTR 3 stomps , lots of compression and a lump of reaper reverb, simple EZ drums , some vocal 'ah' sounds off my digi piano, some keyboard synth with a waves GTR3 backwards effect, and ME with a bit of re-pitch adjustments, all done in Reaper with a splattering of Ozone 8 to put some life into it .
  15. I’d be happy too as well , but they haven’t really got much of a melody , so it wont really sound like singing …. waits for Douglas to say that it never does sound like singing
  16. now then, I didn’t say I’d be singing the lyrics 😘 😁
  17. Wow , the months just flash by , I’ve got a basis sorted , I need to get some lyrics on it, but I’ll get something done.
  18. And quite often the customer will ask for a receipted invoice 😁
  19. Greene King have been doing that for years , they had a really odd way of doing it IIRC. i had to set up an account with a payment portal , invoice them and wait , i think the 2.5% was taken by the portal. im sure most of these cashless methods are to keep the staff from getting near any business cash.
  20. Up and running already , dive in .
  21. These months just seem to fly by, but then, we get get to hear the great new jazzfunkpunk from @Leonard Smalls who has been on fire again. So its time to fire up the DAW once again and show how the following picture inspires us. "Here's a pic. it's of some UFOs I saw while on a plane to Geneva a few years ago." I guess that is just out of this world! ✅ Entries must be <5 minutes and recorded between now and the deadline. ❌ No illegal samples, copyright infringements or other snide goings-on ❌ No Bagpipes, Please , please, will no-one think of the children. ❌ No voting for your own entry. We'll know. And we'll shame you.. Deadline-wise, we will go for Midnight on the 24th June ... Which of course, in reality, means tea time on teh 25th A line or two of blurb as usual for the vote thread will be super duper smashing lovely. Good luck, Have fun
  22. Here is your certificate and a download link BC cert May 25.pdf
  23. Bravo indeed, congrats on another great tune , send me your pic and I’ll do the honours 👍 I shall have a go at the certificate later this morning 😁
  24. A superb blowout of joint winners in April, all on the money with excellent tuneage from Chiliwailer, Leonard Smalls, Upside downer and Jean-luc Pickguard. By a marvelously community spirited resolution , Jean-luc Pickguard has provided us with a lovely image .... "Ralph the Bulldog" A very talented Ralph by all counts, talking of counts, I'll add them up to find the winner when you have applied your 2 votes to the entries below. 1 @Baloney Balderdash Take 1 of a free improvisation with some minor post production edits in a simple Wav editor. 2 Lurksalot a bit of Electric piano in a smooth stylee , Paws for effect 3 @Chiliwailer That puppet dog looks like he’s had a few scooby snacks - so we dusted off the keyboard, went electro, and got that canine and chums on the mic. 4 @Leonard Smalls I got a touch confused... Rather than Bulldog I went for Bulgarian! 5 @Jean-Luc Pickguard Here's my entry for this month: Woof! by Jinky Fuzz featuring Ralph. 6 @upside downer Ralph, bored of guarding pedal boards and snoozing, decides that it's about time he got his groove on, so he leaps up, hits the keys and gives it his best Clint Boon impression. Ok that's your lot we'll say pick your favourite 2 from them Voting will close at midnight on May 31st Best of luck , enjoy
  25. Red run club at aintree on Friday they were excellent , but only saw a few numbers as the timings and train times got in the way. they were a bolt on gig to the race meeting.
