And so, cute as it is, on to the entries this month , please choose your favourite 3 1 @Leonard Smalls Not being the target market for anything teddy-bear related, I done some funky stuff featuring slap ACG and DOD filter. POW! (or not...) 2 @upside downer The teddy bears have met up for a picnic and a bit of a dance. Led by Ted and Ginger, they gently two-step all their worries away. 3 @Jean-Luc Pickguard Miss Lila Bear has put on her best pink frock and has been excitedly awaiting her first dance with her new friend, Grizz. 4 @SH73 Bear with me. I really struggled to get something for this , the idea was to get a soundtrack for each of Lurksalittle's favourite bears, but I so ran out of time. I am having my carpal tunnel done next week so I have been mad at work since Christmas to make sure I've got things up to date, and this track has suffered ! end of the excuses I guess EZdrummer is probably the best part of this, but I hack around my Ibby 6 string through Waves GTR3 , and my little Fleabass pretty clean ,

Panic over the monitor section on the track arming button was set to a different preference , I don’t remember doing it , but must have I guess

Reaper is playing games with me 🤬 arm a track and play the bass through it all is good , but if I press play to jam along to the others tracks, I lose the volume of the armed track playback to my headphones . If I hit record the playback comes through fine . i have not got the first clue and it’s racking me off . the only problem I have was a power cut while the pc was on sleep, but there must be a setting that escapes me totally.

it will be a lot worse with my wind !

I have to say that learning to home record was probably one of the most frustrating things I ever did, however, having eventually sussed with the help of loads of people on here, it is a fantastic opportunity to have some great fun. even the language that is used, really doesn’t explain the job in hand when you looking at the recording software and the DAW, it just doesn’t seem to make sense until one day it clicks and it just all falls into place. As BRX says, it doesn’t mean you produce some fantastic material, however you can record and produce songs, tunes and ideas. whatever it is just great fun.

A friend explained that he used chatgp to verify that he was submitting both his wife and son’s tax return correctly. he had previously paid an accountant but the AI gave him the confidence to do it himself.

If it were Jazz punk mr Smalls would be all over it , but I guess he’ll find a way 😂

I forgot to pay the merseyflow bridge last year , remembered a week later so went on and paid . 2 weeks later I got the fine through , I refused it and went through the procedure. They claimed that because I didn’t pay within 48 hrs they couldn’t relate the payment to the crossing ! I’d only crossed once in the year and paid before they issued the fine . if their system can’t identify a non payer and send a fine out within 48hrs of the deadline but has to wait 20 days , then why the hell have I only got 48 hrs to pay for a crossing? I had a receipt for a crossing 14 days before they tried to fine me for not paying it, tossers

Basically, any song or instrumental that you like (or not) and write your own version of it. We can be faithful to the original or completely ruin it and get creative; the choice is entirely open. Recorded live at the church of St. Dogfan, Llanrhaeadr ym Mochnant by Mr. Leonard Smalls, BBC, PTFE, LdPE. 2 @upside downer I've done a cover of a song by the 60s garage rock outfit The Sparkles, although it's based more on the version performed by The Tribe in 1990. The good news is that I'm not singing on it 😁 the singer from my old band has belted out a fine vocal for it. 3 @MoonBassAlpha This tune is for the BassChat December 2024 Cover Challenge. Fire Brigade is a tune I've known and loved since it came out. I would have been 6 or 7 This year I have enlisted the help of the following lovely friends: Dan Coggins, pedal designer extraordinaire, 12 string Electric guitars (Rickenbacker and Gordon Smith), Godin and Eggle Electric guitars. Matt Sewell, Lead vocals x3. Phil Beavis, Piano glissando. I did the drums, bass, backing vocals and Tambourine myself. You can tell! 4 @xgsjx Here's my entry. this is about as good as I am going to get it I reckon. I did want to rebuild the end, but time has run out on me. Very simple guitars and bass were me , a little EZ bass waltz , and Lurksalittle vocal harmony lifts the whole thing when it joins.

Mine is very nearly ready , lurksalittle has recorded some superb extra vocals, but I had a bit of a production problem last night. For some reason the left and right channels seem to have flipped. I must’ve done something and I can’t work out what it was, anyway, researching it for about 40 minutes last night, I still couldn’t suss it out. I got up this morning went to my computer and put the headphones on the right way round ..DOH !

I find that as soon as a holiday arrives, the stress levels chill out and the viruses move in. it just seems to happen that way , need to find a relaxing way of keeping up the motivational stress levels for the holidays.
