Played the Plough in St Asaph last night . We don't seem to have had a firework picture in November for a few years , so I'll offer you this one Rules: Avoid any content that other forum users may find offensive. Make sure you have permission to use any 3rd party sounds and samples in your track. Entries should be no more than five minutes long and written/produced during the month of the competition. Pipes of the 'bag' and 'pan' variety are strictly prohibited. The deadline for entries is midnight on Saturday 24th November.

Well yes , I did a search of all the November challenge photos, and being November you might expect a certain theme to have cropped up a few times , but no , it hasn’t, so I have chosen a picture that might reflect what happens around the 5th 😎

The first thing I find is a spark of inspiration , it’s difficult to conjure up a story without knowing what you want to say. the genre makes a massive difference to the lyric type and content and style. have a stab at the monthly composition challenge , it offers a great starting point. you get a subject given to you , you get a visual scene presented and most importantly , you have a deadline , you can write stuff forever but until you actually start to press the publish button it doesn’t seem done to me. Like everything else, practice works, just keep knocking them out and one day you might start to like one or two of them

Does anyones ears not bleed , does anyone not feel the need to rip there own face off , does anyone not put a foot through the speakers reproducing the sound ..................... of the bagpipes Its a rule made in jest so as not to inflict the sound on any members who happen to listen to the compositions entered. I dont know anyone who likes the sound of satans bag of wind . except oddly, a cousin, who had a piper pipe him and his wife to their wedding reception , I was already at the bar, so I only heard the story, not the noise
