    Customs is a b*tch. When Binky arrived I got stung for £800 in import tax. The next bass I bought from the USA I flew over and got it as it was actually cheaper than paying the tax!

    Hipshot do have a great customs process, I reckon it would have been circa £150 as a custom spec order... curious to know how close that guess is!

    A contender for the oldest for sale thread on BassChat! There's very few of us 8 string players out there! Me and maybe 2 others on BC tops. 😅 Looks like a factory bass, a GT7 is ideal to mod into an 8 as the headstock and machine head placement are literally perfectly placed to add that extra machine head.

    The KL 11 string fretless was in the works when I stayed with Jean all of about 7 years ago! Still yet to be finished I believe.

    I actually had the privilege of staying with Jean for 3 days some years ago, I bought his 9 string Pac-Man Conklin and as I flew over to San Francisco to collect it, he kindly put me up for 3 days! The man has a crazy collection of vintage arcade games in his basement. Also has the honour of playing that very bass... it's a savage beast!

    The brand new price of a legend NT in that colour with the Aguilar pickups is £849. So he's given you a generous 9% off! Lol.

    Must of been an honest mistake/lack of knowledge as they've now amended the title and description to show Legend and not Euro. Still... £770 Is definitely a chancers asking price!

    @Jono Myself and Tony have sent probably around 20 basses to each other via Eurosender, all fully insured. One bass did suffer damage but the insurance paid out so I would agree with Tony and recommend Eurosender. It costs around €40 to send a bass in a hardcase to Europe insured for up to €2000.

    Great basses, but I never understood why they made them 23.5 frets! 24.5 I understand, but 23.5... just odd! But still, for the money, I doubt there's a better 6er out there!

    It's likely just a GAS thing... I'm not in a hurry to burn £1500 on a 4th rig, even if it's typical value is £5000+ The Aguilar rig is fantastic, but you know how things are, if an equally great rig raises it's head, it'd be rude not to deeply consider it! That Hellborg set up of yours does look like a truly top end rig... I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a shade envious!

    Seriously debating selling my Aguilar rig for one of these... there is a SERIOUS weight difference though! Bet that rig is close to perfect...
