  1. The guy seemed to genuinely not have a single clue about basses. He's now amended the title to simply read "Bass Guitar".
  2. Awesome bass! Though I can't help but think the body looks like a chubby cat... Though I bet it's the best damn playing chubby cat out there!
  3. I'm 80 miles away, I suggested perhaps a meet halfway, also he has a few other interesting guitars for sale of you check his other ads.
  4. This won't be here long... T'were it a 6er it'd already be gone!
  5. They still make these new?? Wow, I had one as my very first bass 16 years ago, quite a serviceable bass if I remember.
  6. Wait... They're gone... Damn!
  7. PM'd about the tuners.
  8. Wondered how long it would take to show up on here! This is mine, there's a 1115 combo for sale too.. Could be a good package for someone.
  9. Hi, I recently picked up a great Tokai Thunderbird in ivory, when I tested it before purchase everything was fine, loud output, no audible issues of any kind. A week later... I plugged it into an ancient Trace Elliot 1115 combo and the output was incredibly low, the amp was almost all the way up and you could barely here the bass, tried a different bass in the amp and it was fine. I picked up an Ashdown 2x10 combo yesterday and again plugged in the Tokai, same issue, hardly any volume at all, again tried a different bass and all is good. So it must be the Tokai itself? It has had no knocks or bumps while in my possession, it isn't active so there is no dead battery situation, I've had the cavity cover off and everything appears good, no crackling or popping etc. Anyone have any thoughts as to the issue?? Russ.
  10. Absolutely, that would be perfect! I'll ping you a PM to see if we can get something sorted. Much appreciated sir!
  11. Hi Chaps, I've picked up a very nice 7 string Warrior custom bass a month or so ago via a trade with a gentleman from this very forum, I'm a player who likes many strings and thought it a good idea to add a fretless ERB to the stable, however... a fretless player I am not... it's fun to mooch around on, but as far as me playing it regularly, that is unlikely. It is a really great bass and when it was made by the Warrior chaps out in the US of A it was originally fretted, somewhere along the line it got de-fretted, and now I want to re-fret it! I have tinkered with many a bass, but certainly nothing so daring as re-fretting a bass myself, my question is, should I do it myself? Acquiring quality fret wire is easy enough, and the bass is lined where the frets once were so measuring precise marks is already done. Seems like a self-fret could be potentially easy enough? Does anyone have advice or can offer any help with this? Any thoughts or tips etc. would be most welcome! I don't want to cock up this extremely nice bass so feel free to tell me it's not worth doing if it is truly not worth risking, if you've re-fretted something yourself I'd be interested in your experience to guide my decision. Alternatively, if you can do the job and are local-ish (I'm in Essex) I'd be very happy to have you do it while I help/watch/take tips! Paid work obviously! Thanks! Russ. 12. If you do reconsidered either of my two 7 strings let me know! I do have an Overwater fretted 7, but that is staying firmly with me!
  13. Sent you a PM with two 7 string trade offers.
  14. Hi Chaps and Chapettes, I acquired a brand new (maybe used once or twice) and boxed Zoom 607 bass multi effects pedal with a bass I recently bought, it's of no real use to me so it must go! £35 posted to your door is the price. Its a decent little pedal, great for faffing around at home etc. A quick google will give you all the further info you might need! Using my phone so cant post pics, but it is exactly the same as any google image you might see! Box, pedal, and instruction book all included. Ta, Binky.
  15. This was my old bass and it is a hell of an instrument. Plays superbly if I remember right! Buyers will not be disappointed!
