  1. I like it, and hate it, and kind of want it...
  2. I thought I recognised that sofa... and that leg!
  3. Hutton bought a bass from me recently, payment was quick and communication was spot on throughout! Another good egg that resides without our little community! I'd be very happy to do business again either buying or selling! Cheers good sir.
  4. My donkey is also named Gary.
  5. €135 for a Noguera fretless modification is a very fair price. An excellent luthier!
  6. I don't need 3 De Giers. I don't need 3 De Giers. I don't need 3 De Giers. I don't need 3 De Giers. Or do I?
  7. Yes please... PM incoming...
  8. They are if you like paying triple for things.
  9. Hi, Up for sale here is a rare, top of the line 12 string Mobius Megatar made in the USA. I've added a short sound clip at the bottom of the description so you can hear what it sounds like when played (badly!) I've only recently got this but having just bought ANOTHER 6 string bass I need to sell something to make space/recoup the costs, so as this was the last one in, it must be the first one out! This is a hugely versatile tapping instrument that is currently strung essentially as a 6 string bass in standard tuning on top and a 6 string guitar tuned to D# on the bottom. This particular Megatar would cost just over $3000 if ordered today (not including shipping and import taxes etc.) It's a through neck design made from solid African Sapele wood, it has a 2 band passive pre-amp with 4 Bartolini pick-ups, each side of this instrument has its own volume switch and it's own 3 way pick-up selector switch. The tone is outstanding and if you want I can send you a short recording of this exact instrument so you can hear what it sounds like. The neck has 2 truss rods and has a Wenge fretboard. Everything works perfectly and the condition is a good 9 out of 10. As you may have noticed, this one was recently for sale on here for a shade under £1600 so this is a massive discount and a rock-bottom price for one of these! It comes with a gig bag and the split jack cable to allow to run the guitar and bass sides separately into different amps, I'll also include an adapter so you can plug it into one amp as I have. I'll also include a new set of 6 string bass strings and a new set of guitar strings so you can re-string it, though the current strings are very much serviceable and most of them are new! If you have any questions, please ask! I can ship if needed but collection is preferred. I'm after £950 which includes free postage in the UK (£15 for postage to Europe). Thanks, Russ. 10. I believe it is possible to set the bridge spacing at 18mm. This has the same bridge as both my Elevation 6 basses and you can adjust the spacing by moving the small saddles the strings rest on. I can achieve between 17mm and just under 19mm with my basses.
  11. Not to me! My offer was rejected. Sold to who ever the highest bidder was.
  12. Bought a rather tasty Warwick Streamer LX6 from Alex today, couldn't of been a smoother transaction! A good guy all round, if you're buying off of Alex, buy with confidence! Cheers Sir!
  13. Made an offer as it's only a few miles away... we shall see if it's accepted!
  14. No where near enough pictures though!
  15. Some, like this purty beast, slip the net! But for how long.....
  16. Nice... it's 6 strings and in Essex... very tempting!
  17. I could send UPS to pick it up? ☠️
  18. Hi all, Up for sale is my recently acquired 2011 Warwick Thumb NT Custom Shop 6 String Fretless with original Warwick Flight Case and all paper work and Custom Shop certificate. Try as I might, fretless just isn't something I find myself gelling with. I've tried a few times and with this Warwick I really wanted to stick with it, but I just find myself enjoying fretted basses so much more. As such, this beast is up for sale. The bass has 3 small issues to note. One being a small ding on the upper bout. Two being a superficial hairline crack in the thin top layer of wood that sits on top of the through-neck above the neck pickup (See picture, very neat and 100% stable). Three being a noisey volume pot when in active mode. I can supply the specific part number you will need if you want to replace it with a new pot direct from MEC (€45). Other than that, the bass is in excellent condition, the action is low and it sounds superb. It has a 5 laminate Wenge/Afzelia through-neck with a solid 1 piece Afzelia body carved and fitted to the through-neck. It is a top of the line custom shop Warwick with a new retail price of over €7500. It comes with all paper work, the original flight case, the certificate of authenticity from the Custom Shop signed by Hans Peter Wilfer and the Warwick folder with everything in it except the wax. It has brand new strings on it (2 days old) and I can supply a second brand new set too if you want, it also comes with a third unopened pack of Warwick strings but these have been in the case for 7 years so may not be great. The bass was built in 2011 and weighs 5.1kg. Ideally I want cash for this but I am open to trades for fretted 6 string basses so long as there is £1000 my way. I MAY be open to a very nice Fender Precision 4 or 5 string... maybe... I'm based in Basildon, Essex, viewing is welcome as are any questions. Thanks, Russ.
  19. Guild all the way... I'm sure the Tacoma is a great thing, but for me it would absolutely be the Guild! I think that this whole story was meant to play out exactly as it did, sure it's been a bit of a ball ache, but you now have a truly exception acoustic bass and will probably enjoy all the more because of the long ride to it's eventual delivery. Keep it, treasure it, or... sell it to me!
  20. I think you'll find they are holes... ok, ok, I'm leaving!
  21. Warwick Aliens are very reasonable 6 string acoustic basses.
  22. 100% chance this thing is 100% unplayable in every single way!
