There was a great guy on BC called Gwilym who had one. I bought my MTD off him and he later turned up at Happy Jack’s with a BN5. I loved it ergonomically and tone wise but it was rather heavy- almost 10 lbs I think. It made quite an impression on me such that I had to arrange to visit Gwilym a few months later to see if it was everything I had remembered. It was - but it was still too heavy to gig with so I passed and the GAS subsided. If one exists around 8 lbs in a sensible colour, I would be very tempted.

Nice one Clarky!

That looks great, like the colour a lot. Been playing my Metro Will Lee 4 today after a bit of a break. Now I’m fancying a 5 after seeing yours.

Yes, more details please.

Just sold a bass to John in a very smooth deal with excellent comms and prompt payments. Recommended!

I recently bought this bass on here from Colleya. It's ultralight, looks stunning and sounds great. I am only selling it because I already have a Jake 5 PJ which I (very slightly) prefer and can't justify having 2 of them, especially when all my gigs seem to be on upright these days. These chambered Maruszczyk basses are perfect for long gigs or if, like me, you have back, neck or shoulder problems. However, this is simply a great bass and you don't need any of these issues to enjoy it. The spec includes: Chambered body - weighs 3.5kg using the bathroom scales method. 18mm string spacing. Delano p/j pickups with passive VVT controls. Great colour with grain/flame on the body, matching headstock. Excellent condition, one chip in the headstock (just to the right of the 'J' in Jake on the pic of the logo) Rosewood board with blocks & cream binding. Hipshot hardware, pretty sure the tuners are ultralights. Low action. Colleya told me he had specced this model up as closely as possible on the Maruszczyk configurator and it comes in at €2035. Happy to meet at my place in Croydon if you want to try it out or I can ship at the buyers expense. Here's my feedback thread:

Selling my Mark Bass cab, an Italian-made 1 x 12 plus tweeter cab. It's in good condition and comes with a Mark Bass cover. I bought this to use as a mini-stack with my matching Mark Bass combo but I haven't needed it for a while so time to find a new home for it. No trades please and happy to ship at the buyer's expense.

It's a great sounding versatile pedal with a Marshall-like flavour. The vintage/modern switch and the combination of Tone & Contour dials give you loads of scope to tailor your sound. I have had this pedal for several years but have had very few chances to use it so time to let it go to someone who will use & enjoy it. It's in good condition and has two strips of velcro on the bottom which of course can be removed if you wish. I have the manual as pictured but not the original box but I will pack it well. The price above includes postage to mainland UK addresses. Here's my feedback thread if you want to know who you're dealing with. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/77960-feedback-for-ptb/

Having committed to buy a bass guitar that's for sale on here without a hard case, I wonder if anyone is anyone planning a trip down south in the next few weeks who could give it a lift to its new home? The bass is in Sale, South Manchester and I am in South London but I'm obviously flexible about collecting it from you. I have done this myself a couple of years back moving a fine electric upright from Loughborough to London so it would be wonderful if some kind soul could return the favour. Let me know.....

Based on various pics on Twitter purporting to be from last night (such as this one below), it was a natural finish jazz bass 5 string. Doesn’t look like a Fender headstock but not one I recognised either (Sadowsky, Lakland for example). No doubt someone more knowledgable will be along shortly........

i had been looking forward to this for months and it was a great show. Unfortunately I was sat so far back, I couldn’t see what bass Freddie was playing but it was a great bass sound and an excellent mix. Kick drum was right where it should be and vocal & brass harmonies all shone through. For the encore of Reelin’ in the Years, Elliot Randall came out to play his signature intro & solo, 34 years since they recorded it per Donald. A perfect ending to a special gig!

This is in good condition, just a few tiny marks on the top edges. It's been a useful tool but I haven't done a doubling gig for some years now so time to pass this on. It covers a wide range of tasks and is much more than a A/B box - see the various Mode settings in the picture. It comes boxed and I'd like £55 posted within the EU. My feedback thread on here is: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/77960-feedback-for-ptb/?tab=comments#comment-750276

This pedal is in very good condition and comes boxed with all the documentation. It lived on my pedal board for around 3 months but I found I preferred another one so time to let this find a new home. Looking for £75 including postage in the EU. Adding my thanks to the organisers too, a very enjoyable day out & good to catchup with bass friends, old and new. I enjoyed Richard Searle’s playing ‘cos his style is so completely different to mine and quite an eye opener. I also fell for both Rob Allen basses, the Mouse and the 5 string. Such a sweet tone and so responsive to your touch. I was very impressed with Obbm’s Handbox amp too. Roll on next year’s bash!

I've enjoyed reading through these. I'll share one of mine with you. There was a singer, about 15 years older than the rest of us, who came to audition for our pub r'n'b band around 2001. He clearly couldn't pitch a note - he was as flat as a pancake - and by the end of verse 1, we were all rolling our eyes and trying hold back the sniggering. We moved into the chorus and at the end of it, he went for the final high note throwing his head forwards. With that, his teeth flew out across the room, hit the floor and slid under the drum kit. He looked aghast and shouted "Guitar solo!" and dived down between the kick drum and floor tom. Eventually, he shuffled backwards, stood up and held his false choppers up to the light. He blew the filth and fag ash off them and popped them back in. He was just about to sing the next verse when he realised we were all rolling around in hysterics........... A week later, he e-mailed us and asked for feedback on his efforts.
