1. Hi all, I am looking for a Sovtek Big Muff, "tall font" version. Not interested in clones. Cheers, M
  2. I will give it for free if you will pick it up yourself.
  3. I have a brand new Dunlop Straplock in chrome for sale. £11 delivered (pp gift please)
I tend to socket all my transistors, I'm a bit wary of inadvertently frying them when I solder them in place.
That's what I am doing at the moment. Mainly because I want to be able to swap them. There is quite a big supply on the way to me I guess using heat sink is a good idea as well.
They're called frenzel lenses i believe. And you use the plastic insulation you've stripped off wires for that particular look...
Thanks! You were close. They are called fresnel lenses, but that was close enough to find them! I haven't thought about striping wires to source the tubing.

Does anyone know where I can get this led covers ? I manage to find them in polish shop but can't find it anywhere in UK. It might be because I don't know its proper name. Ah yes, and one more thing. How do you cover legs of transistors? Is it heatshrink?
www.bitsbox.co.uk
Haha spent some much time on this page and haven't realised they have transistors there. Thanks!

My first "proper" build on the way! Where do you guys get transistors from? I struggle to find any good supplier in UK. Cheers, m
  9. Red Panda Particle demo

Did a short demo of this amazing pedal one Sunday morning. Coupled with my beloved Digitech Multiplay. Not a great quality video and loop bit boring but I hope it gives an idea of possibilities this pedal gives.
  10. Dirt pedal with blend vs LS2 or similar

I never liked sound of blended distortions. I would look for a good distortion or OD that doesn't need a blend. From my experience Supercollider muff from Earthbound Audio or Tall Font Russian from Wren and Cuff sounds awesome. For overdrive try Solid Gold FX Beta bit there plenty more. Nevertheless, I think the best thing to do would be to get a passive bass, like precission would be my first choice.

Thank you guys for all the suggestions! Hopefuly, soon I will be able to post here something more exciting than bypass looper.
Give Bitsbox a go - quite a small range compared to the likes of Rapid and Farnell, but you'll find what you're looking for easier... Are you working from a particular design?
Thanks, I might try them next time. I did order all parts at Tayda this time, as they have very good prices and a big range of components. Will see how is the quality. I want to do a very simple bypass for one of my pedals. Something like this.
I used to get all my stuff from Doctor Tweek: http://doctortweek.c...Path=Categories Although looks like the site isn't open yet (see the message on his site), I'll see if I can see what the deal is. Really nice guy and a great selection. I'd also use Banzai in Germany for the more esoteric parts, only really works for larger orders though. But yeah, lots of little suppliers popping up now, which is great. Si
Thanks, Si. Looks great!

Hi guys, I want to build a simple bypass looper. Can anyone could advise on the best online store, where I could buy all the necessary bits? Cheers
  14. Feedback for GreeneKing

Bought a Strymon pedal from Peter. Great communication and fast shipment. Highly recommended!
