Can't share the damn photo though, because the whole page is one big bloody JPEG Also some other weird photoshop quirks: above the "lefty" is a picture of a sunburst V7 with the bridge reversed, but above that is a picture of the very same bass with the bridge photoshopped on properly.

That Ibanez is out there, I've seen several and actually know a lefty who owns one. I've played it, and it's really nice but the pickups were replaced with SD Quarter Pounders and I'm really not a fan of those... A lefty T40 would be awesome indeed.

Awesome stuff! I've never played one (no lefties available) but I did get to play the twin pickup version once (the RS920) and it was an amazing instrument. I love my RS924 and my MC924's, I hope I'll never have to sell them

Too bad, I love TRB's. I have owned two TRB5II's (one in Amber and one in Trans Blue), and both were fantastic basses and great value for money too. I liked the later TRB100x series too, same great feel and same electronics but different body woods (alder instead of ash, with a very pretty maple veneer top).

To be honest, I have more than I use right now. It's the 5-strings that got all the fun during the last two years. I don't have my [i]pop noir[/i]-band anymore, where I played Nick Cave style dark melodic pop on 4-strings with mostly classic sounds - an Italia Torino hollowbody, a Rickenbacker 4003, my Ibanez Musicians (a LOT!) and at one point even a Big Kydd electric upright. Nowadays I just have my metal band, which suits modern sounding instruments best. I have to punch my way through a full mix with two 7-string guitars and lots of keys (Hammond, synths). I usually just use my Warwick Streamer LX5 for that, and sometimes my Ellio Martina or my Stingray 5. I just sold my Ibanez ATK300, which brings me back to 10 basses. I also have 5 guitars standing around and doing mostly nothing, except for a mid 80s MIJ Squier E-series Strat that I pick up a lot and an MIJ ESP Horizon bolt-on that I sometimes use for writing.

It's just an older version with 2 frets less. I'd say you're really looking for an MC800 or MC824, with passive electronics and simple controls but all the great features and construction of the active models

The Ibanez is a BTB450QM, I don't really know about its value but I'd say somewhere between 200-300 Pounds.

Isn't the C4H already equipped with two MM-style humbuckers? The regular C4 has two soapbars. You're describing a PJ-setup, which slightly puzzles me because there's never been a C4 with PJ. All I can think of is the Cort Action Bass - which shares its bodyshape with the Artisan C4. Why not get a C4H or C5H instead, with the two humbuckers?

If it has F-holes like you describe, is there a label within the body? It's not unusual for hollowbody instruments to have a label underneath the soundhole where you can find the brand, model, country of origin and / or serial number.

This might be easier if we could see the whole bass I've never seen the logo before.

Warwick will do any scale length (30", 32", 34", 35") on any bolt-on model, but only through the custom shop program with a price to match.

That's a great price! I paid 500 Euros for my 2003 lefty Streamer LX5 and thought that was a steal too. It quickly became my main bass, it's great. Mine has a gloss lacquer finish rather than the more common stained oil finishes.

And instead of the Tony Levin SLEDGE version, there's also a Classic Sabre in the Mayan Silver finish that closely resembles what you're looking for. Not a fan of the headstock shape, but otherwise they look nice. I also like the Hipshot hardware, though I feel they should also offer the option of a vintage bridge for those who don't like big solid Hipshot style A's.

Looks nice. Is it just me, or does that body look slightly slimmed-down? I don't like it as much as his earlier signature BB's though, the BB1000MA and the BB3000MA. Those have the classic BB shape, but with a slightly shorter top horn, and especially the 3000 with its neck-through-body construction is a highly desirable instrument
