If nobody wants it as a bass preamp it'll sell on evilbay. And it'll be bought by a child. A child who makes a youtube channel is his bedroom about video games. I want a better life for my presonus than that. You want a better life for my presonus than that too, right?

Hi all, I'm looking at the B7K Ultra, the B3K, the Vintage Ultra and the Vintage Microtubes. Are the preamps simply the distortion pedals with the eq bolted on? Basically I would like unit to replace my MXR M80 which is a two channel preamp, one clean and one distortion and a separate unit to replace my MXR bass overdrive pedal. If I was to get, say the B7KU and the Vintage Microtubes, would that mean I could have a darkglass preamp, a heavy distortion and creamier overdrive? Would that set up (B7KU + VM) be any different to the opposite, the Vintage Ultra and the B3K? So confused! Thanks.

Hi! For sale is one Presonus Studio Channel rackmount channel strip. It's a very clear, studio-quality channel strip that shines with bass but it will obviously accept any instrument into the hi-z or microphones into the lo-z inputs. It's got a very high-gain preamp, then a tube stage, then switchable compressor and parametric eq, then another gain stage. Loads of ins and outs, phantom power, 80Hz HPF, everything really. When I bought it it was described as unused and I bought it for a rack rig idea that I kind of lost interest in. Don't judge me, we've all done it. So it is still as good as new and it comes with all of the box, psu, manuals, etc etc. I'm based about 10 minutes North of Newcastle and I'm happy to deliver locally. It's reasonably small so postage could work, let me know and I'll check prices to your location. Trades? Well, nothing particular, feel free to try though.

Hello everyone, Up for sale is my Hartke cab. This is a 1x12" that used to be a Kickback combo but it is now a 1x12" wedge cabinet. "Where did the head go?" I hear you ask. No idea! It was like that when I bought it. This has been in my rehearsal room for a few months and I've been using it with a GK MB150E or a GK MBF, both to great effect. It's an ideal little stage monitor or practice cab and it could definitely cover small gigs, they wind up pretty far if you hit them with enough juice! 150W, 6ohms, 1x12", wedge, Pickup or delivery from about 10 minutes north of Newcastle. Would I post it? Yes! Is it going to be worth it? Probably not! Thanks!

[/quote] Oh of course, I appreciate that fact and I know it was a sweeping generalisation. The point is though, there are a new breed of cabs that have been designed to cut through the marketing bull (admittedly just with different marketing bull!) that as far as I know started with Bill and has continued with the likes of Fearful. Cabs that were designed by engineers, if you will, rather than marketers. My point was that these newer, better-engineered (though ok, not perfect) cabs haven't exactly replaced GK, Markbass and Ashdown. So there's room for both.

Hey, my barefaced cabs are mathematically perfect. Good dispersion, designed to work well together etc etc etc. I do however, love Ampeg fridges and Hartke 4x10", two of the worst-designed cabs ever. This cab won't be good as in 'efficient, ideal power handling, getting the most out of the drivers' good. But it might very well be good as in 'sounds great that!'.

I've just spent AGES putting together a Presonus and power amp rig, and I live ten minutes outside of Newcastle! AGES! Gutted mate, gutted. Good luck with the sale though! -
I bought two Roqsolid ones for the cabs that I bought, they're great. I then bought another Barefaced (used) that came wit a Roqsolid cover and it's nowhere near as good. Odd.

I have two GK heads and three barefaced cabs, something along those lines would do you well.

For home practice with headphones and an aux in I always use a little mixer. I have a soundcraft compact and a brhinger xenyx, both of which are brilliant. That would be around £30 used or £70 new, so loads left later when you need a proper amp.

You'd be surprised how little bass you need to hear a bass guitar. There's not a whole lot going on below 50Hz for most of us, and if you're a Rickenbacker/plectrum kind of guy there probably isn't a great deal below 200Hz. Having said that, I assume that if you're thinking about going the route you probably have decent foh subs? If so then you'll hear plenty of LF sound from those and then pick up the detail from the monitor. Unless your stage is HUGE then this normally works really well.

Yeah is this the one that will bridge into 4ohms? It kind of looks like it if you zoom into the back panel but it's a bit blurry.

That is actually the superior R5 from the previous range looking by the photos. Before they [s]ruined[/s] upgraded the great R series into the lackluster RB series. I had an R5 and a R115 cab as a gig rig for a bit. Still got my same-era R1 practice amp from then too. Don't sell yourself short!
