Lucky for me I don't have the money for this. Mega guitar, good luck with the sale.
Thanks Doctor J , they are serious guitars indeed contrary to the glam-rock graphic lol. Theres something wonderful about making a simple guitar/bass of custom quality and then just slapping some aggressively high output pickups in it - probably why Sadowsky have done so well for themselves This guitar resonates beautifully even without plugging it in! And its like playing air guitar its so light I'm considering Ebay as they're pretty collectable too. German Musik Schmidt Star is the only one left, one was sold from Poole UK and the other three were in the US Music Zoo. -
That looks awful, are you all thinking of the money to be made if you restore it or something? Sometimes vintage instruments are just a write off for me.

I like the look of the Red one -
Whenever I lose my enjoyment in playing bass I tend to resort to this video time and again as it reminds me of how determined I was to learn when I first began...plus the kids on fiiighyaaah!! 'Nothing Else Matters' Solo Bass Arrangement
Schnozzalee replied to Stuart Clayton's topic in Recording
The ONLY Metallica song I like, I have all the CDs and I can't bear to listen to them lol. Yours were the first Bass Books I ever bought and learnt from so always interested to see your vids! I thoroughly enjoyed this but the Simpsons theme tune is still my fave . I just really love the warmer woody GB tone. -
Keep hold of original guard and wrap it safely and store it somewhere and replace it with the new one. Lurvely looking bass though!
I actually like the Warwick. A little different, but not in an awful Adam Clayton custom way. Kinda a Warwick/Fender Hybrid. I do prefer his Fender, but if I'm honest I prefer his old Aria Signature models even more - http://www.thebassgallery.com/product_deta...e=Bass%20Guitar
Agree, the Aria's look great - the Warwick just looks like it was inspired by bad primary school bubble writing (if that even makes sense )

That Warwick looks gash lol, I think the Fender looked better - I'd never buy a signature bass anyway, don't like the idea of having someone elses name on my bass other than the brand.

Butterscotch Blonde Beauty in da.... Port! ;)

This is the only one I don't like, I love your Dingwalls and the Fiesta red/ Pearl precision but I think i prefer the Placid Blue finish on these with chrome covers. I don't doubt it'll sound fine with the lollar if it resonates! I had a similar finish on a Tokai Hardpuncher n I wasn't keen - just my opinion EDIT: That said...with some shinys -
I'd love a Gold top short scale version. I'd buy one of these over a Fender, more punch than a P and more warmth than a J - perfect

I started on guitar because my dad made me (he's a classical guitarist) I couldn't get chords at all but could solo no problem, I was going through a thin lizzy phase so I changed to bass which I then played until this year when I switched back to guitar (I learnt chords after a year). I could lay down a groove on a bass but solos eluded me, no inspiration - unless i played fretless. I guess i'm more of a precision/EB3 guy but guitar is sooooo much more interesting when your without a band. That said, on stage i'd play rhyhthm guitar or bass (leccy or acoustic)

Bravewood Tele
Schnozzalee replied to Owen's topic in Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale
I didn't like the relic'ing on mine, didn't look good up close - fantastic guitars though. If I had that kinda money I'd stretch for a second custom Charvel, I wouldn't pay more that £1100 for a Bravewood past that is 2nd hand Fender Custom territory. Nice heads up though, I saw a strat on Ebay recently for £1500 -
ESP are fantastic, even the ugly ones are flawless on build. I've not come across a heavy one yet, fortunately. Wouldn't mind the Sunburst P/J at all!

Some videos showing the Paramount series' versatility in all genres. These are all singlecut versions - the doublecut looks far better in my honest opinion! Only the last chap has the top model fitted with Licensed Bigsby and has removed the pickup covers.
