1.
My trusty old ESP
Purdy! ESP are damn good I've got 3 quality guitars I love and do everything I want at the moment: G&L Legacy ESP PC-2V Masterbuilt Charvel Legacy Star (last to go) Forced to part with at least one due to financial reasons
2. Many a time: '75 John Birch 4001, maybe should have learnt to play with a pick especially for it but then again I dunno... '94 Kubicki Key Factor, absolute snorter of a bass and suited my hands perfectly '56 Bravewood Telebass Replica, Lovely lovely lovely but seriously couldn't afford to keep it '07 Marleaux Custom Consat 5 Fretless, Another one that covered all the bases but couldn't afford to keep it '88 Goodfellow, real Alembic look about it and a birth year bass that I loved aesthetically but the neck aggravated a hand injury Cort A4 (made fretless by Overwater) suited me perfectly and my first bass so of sentimental value Late 60's Hoyer EB3 Custom, vintage tones at a quality price '88 Jackson Charvel Star guitar shortly replaced with an '07 masterbuilt version There'll be a couple of others but now i've changed to guitar I regret the loss at lot less - just grateful I had the opportunity to own so many flawless basses and hope the new owners enjoy them as much as I did
3. Back up and with included extras and price drop from £600 to £550. A bargain to be had.
4.
youll see it tomorrow
Lol i'm only messing, i'd love a Ric if I had bigger hands , Chris Squire's tone has to be nearing the best. Congrats on the bargain!
5.
i got it from a friend of my mom who used to be a bass player but developed carpel tunnel, he has a Fender Precision that was his 1st bass back in the 70's and the Rick and he just asked how much i was going to spend on a bass and amp and i told him that i was trying to get a Ibanez GSR200 thats costs around 250 so his words were "dont get that rubbish, i'll give you mine for the 250, i never used it in 20 years" so i actually gonna get a Rick for 250€ ^_^
...And then you woke up
6. Haha awesome soundclip, lovely precision tone! Cool accent too!
7. Ebony's the best i've tried too. Maple is thin sounding but agressive and rosewood deep and warm and ebonys the happy medium...crispy clear and got some depth
8. bargain! I must be missing something with this Telecaster craze at the moment
9. Bit fit, looks like a Custom P
10. Theres few basses I want now but this'd be one
11. Bad Company picked Boz Burrell (RIP) because he was an nice n easy chap to get along with, not because of his playing ability. On that note, just have fun!!
12. I'm gonna hazard a guess at a grand but i'm no Musicman anorak (although two have passed through my hands ) if you type it in the search bar at the bottom left of the 'for sale' section you should be able to find something similar thats previously sold and then make a decent guess from that. Not always the best though because some are desperate to sell and price low, thereby setting that price for the market and some put them unrealistically high. I had someone talk to me adamantly insisting that second hand price is half price but if its immaculate I don't believe so, mods, missing/broken hardware and paint loss/faults put me off but dings/scratches/chips don't. I tend to put what I think is fair for it quality wise and drop it if I get in financial trouble, lack of interest or see something I can't afford. End of the day its all about how much you want for it, theres too much criticism in this area and all price queries are supposed to be by done by PM as is the law of the forum!! lol Best of luck with the sale!! I really like this particular finish.
13. Corr! That looks good enough to eat and break your teeth on
14.
Wow, great price!
Indeed *removes monicle* one for Mr LaRue
15.
I don't like Status S2's personally but this is hot.
+1 Only because of the shape but its all too easy to forget when it has a top like that!
16. I want the Erskine Signature, thats the one for me! And the tronics VM and I'd be sorted for life. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mGyEtHU1Bg
17. I love Skjolds, theres a particular model I always had GAS for before Wood and Tronics made the VM. I'm a bit like you I have a guitar i've owned for 4 years that i've babied but i'm being pushed to sell for need of an amp . If your not in desperate need keep the Skjold! they're very eye catching and have a pleasingly versatile round woody tone...now I want one dang it
18. Well I like it these are great sounding basses but the shape is definately an acquired taste like the thumbs but uber comfortable. Is it neck through?
19. Tamworth Piggies
20. Aww you should keep it Jamie, I tried one of these in Cranes, Cardiff and was rather surprised - TONE!! Needs flatwounds though.
21. Fantastic basses, end of.
22.
...Thanks Mick / Antonio ! Not much choice as I need to sell. I'm reducing my 4's to a single fretted/fretless (still deciding on that one - the Vigier was tempting, but I want to keep something more 'traditional') + we'll be off to Singapore (again) July/August - with huge air-fare increases from the last visit.
Ach i'd help you out if I could
