1. Thankyou! Not too bad then! The neck finish is unusual, kind of like a matt red but looks smooth and fast.
2. Really wanted one o these a couple o years back, how much does it weigh?
3.
funny enough brother,,,its the big body that I really like. I hate the fact basses look small or at least guitar size on me. So having a nice big bass is a big A+ for me. As for the looks
Wish I had that problem! A P bass makes me look like a midget lol, one of my reasons for returning to guitar. I think the Bisons looks awesome too, I've played a green one - Sounded like a 60s bass, wasn't awful to play but not great either. I don't remember the weight I'm afraid but if your a big guy thats irrelevant. I wouldn't buy one as a workhorse, 60s guitars/basses are great toys though.
4. But seriously. Don't split em up.
5. Don't split em up!! They're both perfect but I went with the one that reminded me of da Sea!!
6. ...And I think they look awesome
7. I really like it with the gold plate, looks amazing!! Is it really as beefy sounding as the Youtube videos make out? I had the same problem with my ESP - the lack of soundclips never fully exemplified the tone, but just wondering if you think it nails it or not?
8. Looks like its made out of Chocolate
9. I like the Warwick sound over the Spector sound, I only notice the dullness of the MECs which makes its more funky for my tastes.
10. Thats such a beautiful bass
11. That would suit me down to the ground
12. I love it but not for the money, why change the EB3?? Or does this one balance properly?
13.
bump for an amazing bass! I played a fretted one and have never found a better 4 string. If it were me i'd happily give up a Ray for one!
+1
14. Hi Zapp, Thanks very much! I really do love the ISF control, I got a chance to try one out in Cardiff yesterday and really wanted to see if I could get a Santana tone through the America side of things but you can't help yourself just switching it back to the UK haha. These Bad Cats I need to try, i've only discovered them recently! Before I was set on Orange and now i'm just confused lol. Best of luck with the sale!! Really nice discount on something brand new.
15. I spend so long just staring at these basses, the wood choices, shape and even the pickup config is so exotic and unique . The bloodwood and wenge neck looks fantastic and no doubt plays without effort if its by Stu's spec
16.
Oh the history of that one! I mentioned it to John Birch when I first heard about it; he was ballistic! It's not one of his he said, someone had used his parts on a body made by someone else & was passing it off. (It's good old MG that has it) It next turned up in Guitar & Bass in someone's collection, claiming it has belonged to Andy Scott of The Sweet as a promo item for their hit "Little Willy". Time for someone else to go ballistic - Andy wrote a disclaimer for the magazine denying any connection with the guitar in any way shape or form. Strangely enough the guitar then went back into the ownership of MG in one of their Denmark St shops. If you see it on Ebay they now claim it was made for Showaddywaddy; but if you see it in the window of their shop, last time I looked it said it was made for Dave Hill, which I know for a fact is a lie. I've been told by Greg Dorsett that if you see it up close & personal it has no JB logo - and stinks of fresh paint.
Hahaha I can't imagine who would wanna own up to it!
17.
Anything apart from Fenders, Rickenbackers & Stingrays - same as always really.
Nailed it.
18. You torture me , first the fender and now the perfect amp I need without being greedy. Could you give a mini review please?
19.
I emailed them. I just had this reply. Hi, I`m very sorry because i cannot reply so soon, but i was out of my town with my father, because is very sick and i must to stay with him. i`m based in Lerwick, if you are still interested ,let me know Thx, Strange phrasing . I've relied that I'm sorry to hear about her Father. But what a coincidence because I live in Lerwick too, so can I call around and try the bass LOL.
Gold!
20. this guitar, i've owned the longest, the best bargain i've found and serious contender to my favourite guitar is perhaps leaving me tomorrow , a truly forced sale
21.
Luverley geetar you got there. If I had the funds I would have had it away
Thanks monquixote, it is a sterling example of a stratocaster and should be gone tomorrow if the potential buyer takes it. Will be missed! US G&Ls guitars like this are rare
22. I just wanna play a scale on this, just one. Big fan of the 6 string Jazz look.
