1. Welcome to Basschat! Make sure you hang on to your Roland Bass Cube 30!! Mega handy - I've had mine 6 years now . I'm a thomastik Infeld flatwound meets Gibson EB3 fan.
2. Thats a criminal price for a Kubicki, I had a Key Factor I think it was (tuned at the head). Twas one of my favourite basses, in the top 5 definitiely (of the 20 odd i've had!). Really aggressive super Jazz tone but the neck made it the No.1 easiest playing bass i've had, perfect spacing for slap and fingerstyle. I didn't like the whole Mark King playing on it though as it got cramped for the right hand so I just lengthened the strap and it was perfect. Comfy ergonomics and light as a feather, you'll regret getting rid of it!! Especially at that price! I'd look into getting it defretted. All the best Chris
3. This used to be one of my favourite songs!! Then my Dad killed it for me saying it was his favourite and wants it played at his funeral...Classic tune, don't know anyone who doesn't like it, great fun to play on bass too! Lovely Warwick tone
4. Best Ken Smith i've seen
5.
I thought this was going to be about Hogwarts.
DITTO!!
6. May trade for a '52 American Vintage Reissue Telecaster or '57 American Vintage Reissue Stratocaster. Would need to be in 9/10 condition minimum though
7. I want this!! But need a sale, a job would be nice too. What a great bit of kit!
8. Classic guitar en all! Wish you lived closer.
9. Ha! Gorgeous, can't help but smile. Takes me back to my first lessons, this was my dream bass
10. Jaw dropping, we definately have the same taste in basses. How much are these???
11.
I've had mine up at 1400 (9.5/10 mint 2001 custom order with plain top, gold parts and hangtags) and its not budged. Killer guitars, the best I have ever played, but nobody seems to have enough money to drop on one of these beauties. They don't know what they are missing, and yours looks bloody stunning.
What is the difference between the two? I don't know anything about PRS all I know is great on crunch EDIT!! Sorry top and neck, I should really go to sleep!!!
12.
I am ONLY interested in letting this go as part of a trade for a 4-string Eminence EUB. That's it - nothing else will be entertained.
You Tease!!
13. I don't like it, sunburst rosewood/blocks and tort would have been more appealing to me.
14. Have you got Fender tattoo'd on your ring finger?? Great video, I enjoyed your previous soundclips of the richwood stuff - i'll buy one soon!
15. Stuff like this makes me love this site.
16. Nordstrand Jazz tone is my favourite, I also like the Pensa Fretless, BUT!! Marleaux does an incredible Vintage J impression so if your just after tone and not the Vintage look as well they play comfortably too!
