1. Thanks Loz, I've put it at a clearance price so I can fit my new guitar amp in my room - it's all pristine and ready to go but I may as well keep it than drop the price further.
2. The Wood and Tronics VM Signature (Now discontinued but my my... )
3. Check out the surf green 57 strat in the 'other musically related section' haha . I've never got on with stingrays, the pickup wasn't a comfortable anchor when i needed and i've always had problems with fretbuzz on the neck (i've only tried 4). I prefer the tone of a P bass but i'm not a confident player so the stinger makes me feel too exposed!! There's no doubt that the soft pastille colour guitars and basses are a serious contender to sunbursts but fancy wood facings can top them both if tasteful.
4. Agree, if the weight is distributed better across the bass i can sling an 11lb'er, especially if its fender...a 9lb G&L however - feels like lifting an anchor
5. I'm not racist, just saying I think all white basses look better with black guys playin em, like Bill Buddha Dickens in a suit
6. I've always wanted something like this, but I wouldn't play it lik the girl in the video - they sound great without effects and chords, especially if you go off on one during a song like Mr Bruce. I wouldn't pay more than £1200 for one and then you have to worry about problems like what amp to use and pedals etc afterwards.
7. Music Teacher missing in action! Still for sale!
8. Chris Squire - Silently Falling
9. Hi Cyrene, its been incorporated into a trade deal i'm doing end of next week but if it doesn't go through you'll be the first to know if your interested.
10. Oh so thats what those are!! I've spotted these on various guitars.
11. Seen him play it, it's BEASTLY!!
12.
I'm possibly being silly but... whats an EUB?
Electric Upright Bass
13. Bargain price, I love it! I like it as it is with the headstock.
14. I thought he played a black john birch with white poka dots?? I owned a 70's Birch 4001, sounded just like Geezer plugged in but i didn't get along with the high output pickups - very much a pick players bass EDIT: He has the humbug sg one here, Jaydee made a version of it later too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGQyVhB2r8c&feature=fvst
15.
No love for 'G' then?
I love G on the E string best
16. I'm jealous BUT I reckon its probably going to weigh a tonne so time to invest in a nice wide strap!
17. bump for fenders best finish!
18. That's beautiful, which it was closer to home so I could come see!!
19.
It performs really well when slapping but it's not a one-trick pony...A lot of sounds are possible and the sustain is great.
24 frets on a 32" scale would feel as easy as playing a guitar but not so short that your fingers would trip over themselves! I'd buy one of these for finger style, I think it would be kind to my hand injury also! BUMP!!!
