I've bought loads of stuff from Andertons without a problem unlike GAK.
What was wrong with GAK? I usually buy my stuff from them

Seriously considering giving up bass & moving back to synths.
Schnozzalee replied to xgsjx's topic in General Discussion
I had this same problem, the bands I was in broke up and I was left as a bedroom player. I soon got bored of bass playing/transcribing in my room so I switched to classical & electric guitar and just never got tired of it - if I did join a new band i'd still want to be a bass or rhythm guitar player but for now there's no going back, i'm enjoying my new toys -
And a very nice couple to have!! I think it's always good to have a backup

Thanks guys! Yeah I think 2 Tone Sunburst is going to be the most sought after also, IMO surf green trumps black, white and even candy apple red, BUT, there's many people loving the black black pickguard maple option so then again...ah welly, maybe Ebays my best chance to find a buyer as i've noticed surf green and black ones don't come up much

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I am/was the original owner of both guitars!

Afternoon Guys & Girls! I have an Immaculate 2011 Surf Green Fender American Vintage '57 Stratocaster which i've been unable to sell for £1k and has had minimal interest apart from if I px upward, ALTHOUGH, I haven't advertised it on Ebay yet I sold an Immaculate 2011 3 Tone Sunburst Fender American Vintage '62 Telecaster Custom almost immediately with half a dozen cash buyers in reserve!! One driving up from Kent even. There is a slight difference in their store pricings but there's no difference in quality between the guitars so I'm unsure what i'm doing wrong?? Please voice your opinions, it'll help me out a lot

The AV series has custom shop woods but without custom pickups and various modifications i.e. roller nuts/fret wire/relic'ing etc. I've owned the '62 tele and have a '57 strat and both were flawless and i like stock pickups and frets and so on because it sounds just like the records AND guitar techs love them which is a very good sign indeed!! Nitro finishes wear in after a year of bedroom playing whether thin skin or not but they're guitars for life if your not a Charvel Guitar Geek like moi. You won't regret it!

I guessed the right order!! I thought the Mexican was the best too, from there it just got woolier and woolier. You could only tell from the fingerstyle, if you were slapping all the way i'd have no idea. -
That hollowbody is beautiful! P90s!!

I've never played a musicman that hasn't had a dead spot on the neck somewhere - I've owned a sterling and a stingray and they were OK but nothing to shout about, I don't like the playability, the two screws in the pickup don't allow you to anchor your thumb!! I prefer the musicman tone to a jazz, even when fretless but I love a p bass with a 60's style neck HOWEVER although aesthetically unpleasing it does need a j pickup if you can't afford two basses for versatility. G&L's are great but the neck is too chunky for me, both wide and deep and I can never decide on the tone - a P or J pickup just nails what you want. ...sack all 3 off and get a Marleaux, flawless basses
