1. Bitta Sharpe's Rifles going on in the background
2.
Would probably help if you said where you were... for example, I wouldn't be up for buyer collects from say, Australia.
3. I find Wooten's double thump technique massively boring on its own but in Sinister Minister it's great. Someone like Billy Sheehan on his own is pretty pants though with Mr Big, fantastic. There's very few bass players that can hold a crowd solo IMO despite skill and technical ability (not even Jack Bruce I hate to say ) - However!! I'll happily listen to Jeff Schmidt all day long, very musical indeed!
4. Damn!! A Kubicki Key Factor 5! I want . The Nobby Meidel, Yamaha Motion MB and early G&Ls are my cup of tea too
5. Sweet collection
6.
What was good in '92? Not much.
'88 Seems like a terrible year too
7. What about this: (sorry it's only a blackberry photo) It's sonic blue, b/w/b 3 play pickguard, white pickup cover, natural headstock, rosewood board.
8.
wot he said. I've never understood the appeal.
Gotta agree, those roadworns may sound good but the fretwork and finish on the one's i've seen is abysmal lol. I tried a 50's tele and it grated my hand to shreds - jumbo frets on a vintage radius what the...?
9. I have a Blackstar, Fendery cleans and Marshall drive - most versatile amps on the market, don't understand why no one can manage clean & drive well. I think these are still handwired too?? Essentially a Cornford at half the price (when new), and then half again from andy lol. EDIT: Emphasis on that Plexi aspect! 80's Charvel Hair Metal in abundance when called upon. I can get to the EVH realm with rolling a little tone & treble off my single coils.
10. I think this is really nice, the relic'ing looks better than a Nash imo
11. I learnt on one of these ^^^ & a Shergold - wouldn't mind one for myself!
12. Fiesta Red & Tortoise Shell with Rosewood (white/creme pickup covers & natural headstock). I really want something in that colour scheme, miss my Tokai Jazz Sound.

14. Hmm...meh, does nothing for me and i'm a P bass guy - I'd just keep saving.
15. Damn, I pulled trigger on a strat last week but would have loved this! '88's my birth year too
16. You've got a really nice setup with the two thumbs. I've managed to do the same thing with guitars but I still constantly worry if I can afford it or not (being unemployed and all). When I had basses I wasn't completely happy, closest I've been is a Marleaux Consat 5 String Fretless which could do anything...although I wished it was a 4 string.
17. I now feel better about my playing, thanks for posting this! I used to be a confused bass player like that - inbetween wanting to play guitar and bass, I resorted to a fretless rather than an ERB.
18. Just out of interest is that a 12" radius with those wide vintage 6230 frets?
19. Here's not the place to sell guitars (from experience!!) I'm sure if you put this beauty up on Gumtree someone will find it from anywhere in the UK - especially something like this! Preloved is another one to try but i'd put money on your interest coming from Gumtree . I've seen these in person, didn't get the time to try but the rust looks fantastic and everyone sings about how good they are .
20. It's an unusual headstock and mine had wooden tuning pegs - when I put mine up after first joining everyone started talking about something called the 'Lowden-era'. I'd ask EBS Freak, he knows all about the Goodfellow stuff. I traded my musicman 4 string for one o these, ironically .
21. How did the seller shaft you? Got me worried, I just bought a guitar off Ebay
22. I'm sure it wouldn't weigh as much as 15lbs, I had a six string made of entirely maple weighing in at 14lbs. I remember seeing this bass elsewhere and the top is simply stunning, if you ever needed inspiration to play the timber on this would do it for you!
23.
