1. You built those!? What's your brand name?? Alesker?
2. I'd take a black bass over a white one; if I was a black guy i'd say the opposite - not many look cooler than Bill Dickens on a white Conklin
3. Ya ^^^ I thought we were talking ebony boards too
4. If it's completely black you can't see what it is, plus it picks up loads of dust, fingerprints and...yeah it's just not funky - just for the death metallers
5. Couldn't stand watching the bald guy - encouragement of 'expression' faces is wrong, distracts from the music...and makes me wanna bite into my desk
6. He had an amazing live sound using those
7. I just wanted to see if anyone knows the location of one of my guitars I imported & owned this one since new but shifted it during a time of financial difficulty - now I can't find it anywhere!! Not exactly a model that goes under the radar - It's a Charvel Star from the Legacy Series and the graphic is known as 'The Gold Bolt'. The last owner was based in Worcester but he shifted it on... The only distinguishing feature is that there is a rusted thumb print is on the neckplate - Serial No. is something very close to GJ(?)0193. I'd be massively grateful if anyone finds it!! 8. Who is this guy? He keeps picking up all the stuff that should be on here
9. Take out that god awful Ting Tings song
10. Those Fender guys sure know how to select a decent bit of timber for the extra moolah...
11.
Aye, likewise. I also think that Warwick made a better bass out of Ned Steinbergers design.
They did!! And what i'd do to own that model
12. Aha!! I know the answer to this one - a girl in Cardiff both records and tours with a vintage musicmaster (I shall find the band name for you), question is, are you talking about the bass or guitar version? EDIT: Victorian English Gentleman's Club - she works at the Recording Studios where OldGit held the Welsh BC Bash. She has a '77 Musicmaster Bass in Banana Yellow.
13. HAHAHA!!! This has to be my favourite listing for a long long time. I'm thinkin' "what a funny story" in an Alan Partridge accent & that phrase, "Cool Story Bro"
14. ESP PHOENIX!!! Check the weight though
15. The Turquoise one
16. Aww keep the Tony Butler!! I may be moving to Cheltenham soon, so I'll probably have to buy it - my parents always say Big Country are the best live band they've seen and that's compared to Lizzy with Lynott and all sorts!!
17. Nice pickguard, you made one for the USA model??
18. I have a top of the line Boss DR880 Version 2 Drum Machine in immaculate condition with original manual, plug and (now wrinkled) box etc. I got rid of my Korg Pandora for this - no competition. http://www.youtube.c...d&v=DeOXKdpUi3s It was purchased during University for improvisational practice and composing songs over various chord progressions/keys etc. On it's many preset tracks, including various musical styles, you can dial in (via the volume knobs) guitar, bass and drum accompaniment as well as take them away; you can create your own in drum and bass grooves too of course (get as technical as you like). Through an amplifier or headphones, just plug your instrument in, choose you amp model and effects (or just leave it clean) and you'll have great fun - I promise!! I can provide pictures if requested, but as I say, just a secure, yet wrinkly box to put you off - the machine is as new. These retail at £435 online, so i'm asking just £195 + postage (will discount for collection). Specifications found below (and feedback below that ): http://www.bossus.co...p?ProductId=473
19. I don't think Basschat has EVER seen one of these up for sale! I can remember reading about them in Bass Magazine when they were first released. They look fantastic, I reckon this would be an amazing instrument for some Ska as well as Classic Rock. I've just been speaking with the Fret King Masterbuilder this week, £900 for a UK built custom shop instrument is a damn fine price too!! Welcome to the forum!!
20. Gorgeous, only issue to be had with ESP is sometimes they can be a tad heavy!! That's it
21. I wonder how much it weighs; he's playing his replica on their current tour
22. Well I think it's cool, i'm just too small to lift it
23. You've been checking out Strats!!? I've been on a quest for the last year. The LSL saticoy is the worst i've played for the money (if you're going boutique), the 1954 50th Anniversary Masterbuilt Fender is the best i've tried. What price range are you looking within?
