1.
I sometimes wonder if crappy tabs are posted on the 'net in a lame attempt to avoid copywright infringements.
More likely the poster hasn't listened to the song properly (as per bigredx's post earlier).
2. Just wondering why a 'rehearsal studio' would need a 100 watt guitar amp. The loudest guitarist in my band has a 30 watt combo for stage use and the other one uses a 16 watt tiny terror - both plenty loud enough for any pub gig so way over the top for a studio. That said, until recently I've been lugging my stage rig to rehearsals at our normal studio but I've just invested in an Eden E210C - 350watts 2X10 . If you want an idea of what not to put in a rehearsal room, check out the sub station in rosyth. Loads of tired second or third hand crap in there to avoid.
3. I'm in a band called Big Tuna.I doubt if that gives any indication of the music we play.
4. I've been using a pair of EBS 212 neo's for quite some time and I doubt if I'll ever find a tone I like better. (to the point where my EBS 410 neo will soon be heading towards evilbay).
5. I went to see him in Edinburgh this summer - very funny. However, he didn't return the complement by coming to see Big Tuna the next night
6. We're doing the 10 til midnight slot at whistlebinkies this saturday. If you're in the area come on in and say hello - it's free
7. We'll be back in Finnegan's Wake this Saturday, 5th November from around 9.30.
8. We'll be playing at the Waverley on main street, Callander this saturday, kicking off around 9:30.

Mr Big

Glasgow tomorrow. Woohoo. If anyone else is there I'll be the one with the mustache shepherding the tall blind american
10. If it's moved to november 6th then I'm out. Had the october weekend booked and a car load of bassists happy to travel. Nov 6th I have a gig. Shame to move it just to get marcus. He's good..... but not that good :-)
11.
Anyone know of any DVD / Video I can buy that has Leland Sklar on bass duties. He is one hard dude to track down for such a great talent.
James Taylor and Carole King's Troubadour reunion DVD is great - pretty sure it's been shown on BBC4 a couple of times too.
12. Finnegan's Wake on Victoria street. This Saturday 3rd sept from 10:30pm.
13.
I had to look everywhere for the tab
In the gold old days when I spent forever working through squire's lines, there was no such thing as Tab and aspiring bass players had to either buy the sheet music or sit for hours with a cassette player. Tab? Pah!
14. Hi. Wondering if you'd consider selling the SVT seperately and if so, would you also consider shipping to edinburgh-ish?
15. We'll be rockin up a storm at Finnegan's wake tonight from 10.30pm. Back at the same place in 2 weeks but it'll be earlier.
16. I have a fretless acoustic Kelly Dragonfly that sits in the dining room and gets played every day for fun and makes a good instrument for learning new songs as I don't have to set my rig up. Also have my fretless Alembic that I use for about a third of our set so that goes to all my gigs and rehearsals.
17. Just back from his Edinburgh fringe show. Funny as hell and he threw in some very tasty riffage that almost had me too embarrassed to invite him to my gig tonight (saturday)
18. Guy's a great Bass player and a pretty down to earth guy... IMO
19. I'm in a pub / wedding covers band and I only ever play alembics :-)
20. Rick Danko. First fretless I ever heard.
21. "the tone was copyrighted when Jaco first presented it". Hmmm.. someone should dig rick danko up and tell him the fretless he played with The Band wasn't a fretless after all.
22. Saw squire in 1974 and figured he was having more fun on stage than the rest of the band put together. Haven't looked back
23. I'm sure she's very good at what she does but I can't help wondering why players like this didn't just buy a guitar in the first place.
24. listened to the song earlier. Hopefully the rest of the album will be up to par.
