  1. Maybe the Behringer Acoustic ADI21 at £20ish could be a way to go? https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Behringer-ADI21-V-Tone-Acoustic-Preamp/6LW Bit of tone shaping, plus blend, and still a DI when off?... just as long as you have a bit of monitor provided, or the std out into an FX return?
  2. I really do have too many, so if someone else wants or needs it to finish a job, shout If its OK with @jay bass i'll take in a week if no other interest.
  3. Hi, I'll take the neck for a tenner! Got too many basses... Gotta sneak bits by the wife as parts. I'll tell her its for DIY, 😉
  4. I had to build up the nut on a ebay neck. Tape up the headstock from sharp pointy things... think i used a round needle file, twisting rather than back and forth.
  5. If you can sort of see or feel the edge of the holes with a pokey thing... How about using those threaded inserts in the neck, and bolts instead of woid screws. The inserts would need a larfer hole carefully drilling over prolly taking to or the edge of an existing hole.
  6. Like the bottom one, but take the cut after the mounting screw, unless tapeing on, I'd keep the full neck pocket if the plate. Why not just a small square between neck and pup?
  7. Pure Tone do a Barrel Jack...
  8. The bottom one has something... Love the plate... Think that would suit the classics of Shell Pink, Sea Foam Green or a Fiesta Red... Nice take on the fret markers.
  9. Bit Early Pete Cornish Style Pedalboard. Effects of all shapes and sizes and jack sockets in different places, different power etc. - to a simple one-in one-out or Two-Routes type gig board.
  10. Wot No Lego Hair?
  11. Back to Wood... Wax, Tru-Oil or Danish Oil finish, and just the Bell Plate.
  12. Swap USB Cable... Some USB cables are Power Only Connections, without the Data Connections. Had similar / same issues with B1On / B1Xon
  13. Might of given it a wipe over, with something on a cloth before putting it in a box... genuine and unknown on the senders behalf? This is the pedal that @Baloney Balderdash has raved about... If it was at a favourable price, and you can get a decent discount over the cost of return postage that they will nerd to cover... worth taking a cosmetic hit for... Reliced Pedals?
  14. Well worth replacing the 3 plastic washers on the tuner screws with a F4-10M Thrust Bearing (4 for about £5) for smoother tuning. https://ebay.us/m/eTvInj
  15. Cheese Gone - Hall & Oats Wasn't Whistle Test Great...
  16. Relived... I thought the thread was gonna be about that bit on ya healing up after a bit of a YKK encounter...
  17. ^ Similar with Adagio Flats on my P and T With the Outer Windings around half the peg... good job they are the larger Dia peg Sit better on the Ibby SR's as the E Peg is that bit further away, and maybe longer length behind the saddle.
  18. Don't 'spose your near Oxford? Not mine... but likes an SR https://ebay.us/m/vVPNU8
  19. I'd have a look for a cheapy fretless neck on the bay or aliexpress. Shout to @Andyjr1515 for his words of wisdom, and encouragement to give it a go. T'was a G4M Strat-ish, found abandoned, so nothing to loose. Son now has a Fretless Guitar for Ebow-ing and Sliding about on... Maybe practice on some cheapy charity shop find, or some thing local on facebook? Decent ground-flat tip nippers to get flush with the board, i had a pair of i'll fitting, worn and rusty end cutters. *When you have pulled the frets out, don't be tempted to give the board a wipe with a fuffy or microfiber cloth. Nope... Don't do it - catches all the rough and tears out more board splinters, just like this! Go for the lightest rub with a real light sand paper instead. I cleaned the slots out with a razor blade, then a Stanley blade, Until a 0.5 / 0.6 feeler gauge (or the back of the Stanley blade) can nicely run the slot. I got veneer from here - sample sheet on the bay for £3, and went for maple. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284926110021 Cut and Dry-Fit... Then PVA'd in... Trimmed, Sanded and a few Wipe-Overs with Super Glue, followed by a Light Sand and Buff... So, you can do it..
  20. Lovely Body... I'd be wax finish, no scratch plate little control plate. How about Cream Covers for that 70's DiMarzio look? My First Bitsa...
  21. Yours is a newer one, takes care of the A.. I put one on an Arai Jazz And Similar...
  22. Wouldn't get that 'lil headstock knotty on a F. Nice bit of character.
  23. Candle Wax or Hard Soap on the threads for lube...
