  1. Natural 'n Black Hardware with Blocks sounds nice...
  2. Likes a Nice bit of plain ash. Thinking of giving the SR600 a rubdown As for the neck... I don't mind pale maple necks, and quite like pale rose wood. Roasted Maple can look nice and can be kept unfinished ish, rather than going for a tint. Flame necks look a bit, well, OTT especially with a plainer grain of ash. Black Pearl, nice.
  3. Raise the action a smidge... be more right up the dusty end... From 'read somewhere', intonation set at harmonic and On Top 12th fret... or fretting the string behind the fret, but now down to the fretboard... They might be squeezing the last bit of bass-juice out the string! Then all playing is subject to being a non tru temperament, compound error, calculated-ish made with a tolerance analogue instrument. Otherwise everyone would be playing bass lines on synth!

  5. Tru-Oil or Danish Oil applied with a green scotch-brite pad..
  6. LambBhuna - Kaoma
  7. Mine has been fine... By using the ferrules CSK in to the body, you are?gaining a bit in to the neck... Or go for the Bolt and Threaded Neck Inserts - but looking at them, after the taper in, threaded element looks about 6 - 8mm, or the thickness of a machine nut.
  8. Pre/Post switch for the XLR Out?
  9. Maybe the Behringer Acoustic ADI21 at £20ish could be a way to go? https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/Behringer-ADI21-V-Tone-Acoustic-Preamp/6LW Bit of tone shaping, plus blend, and still a DI when off?... just as long as you have a bit of monitor provided, or the std out into an FX return?
  10. I really do have too many, so if someone else wants or needs it to finish a job, shout If its OK with @jay bass i'll take in a week if no other interest.
  11. Hi, I'll take the neck for a tenner! Got too many basses... Gotta sneak bits by the wife as parts. I'll tell her its for DIY, 😉
  12. I had to build up the nut on a ebay neck. Tape up the headstock from sharp pointy things... think i used a round needle file, twisting rather than back and forth.
  13. If you can sort of see or feel the edge of the holes with a pokey thing... How about using those threaded inserts in the neck, and bolts instead of woid screws. The inserts would need a larfer hole carefully drilling over prolly taking to or the edge of an existing hole.
  14. Like the bottom one, but take the cut after the mounting screw, unless tapeing on, I'd keep the full neck pocket if the plate. Why not just a small square between neck and pup?
  15. Pure Tone do a Barrel Jack...
  16. The bottom one has something... Love the plate... Think that would suit the classics of Shell Pink, Sea Foam Green or a Fiesta Red... Nice take on the fret markers.
  17. Bit Early Pete Cornish Style Pedalboard. Effects of all shapes and sizes and jack sockets in different places, different power etc. - to a simple one-in one-out or Two-Routes type gig board.
  18. Wot No Lego Hair?
  19. Back to Wood... Wax, Tru-Oil or Danish Oil finish, and just the Bell Plate.
  20. Swap USB Cable... Some USB cables are Power Only Connections, without the Data Connections. Had similar / same issues with B1On / B1Xon
  21. Might of given it a wipe over, with something on a cloth before putting it in a box... genuine and unknown on the senders behalf? This is the pedal that @Baloney Balderdash has raved about... If it was at a favourable price, and you can get a decent discount over the cost of return postage that they will nerd to cover... worth taking a cosmetic hit for... Reliced Pedals?
