1. Genre: Rock (pop rock through to hard rock/metal) EQ on the Orange Bass Terror is not that effective so leave it all flat but boost the bass frequencies slightly and cut the treble slightly on the bass
2. very nice guys!
3.
IMHO good pickups would be the main thing
+1 If it plays ok then I reckon pickups are the way to make the biggest difference.
4. sounds like great fun. Hope it all goes well.

7. mmmm chips
8. thanks for that. I really enjoyed it.
9. I use an OTB through various cabinets but mostly through an SP210 or a Hartke 410. loads and loads of volume and gain, not much EQ. pretty much what everyone else has been saying. I love it.
10.
Once a week is the general goal, of course several times a week would be great but schedules and the cost etc.
yep same here. Both my bands try to get together once a week, more if we're coming up to a gig if we can manage it. Rehearsals wouldn't be quite so frustrating if everyone in the covers band did their homework!
11. oh for friend/relatives that give presents like that!
12. good stuff, glad something good has come out of a difficult time. Best wishes for the future
13. interesting read. Thanks for the link
14.
When you're 12 I would
agreed. I remember my first instrument was a clarinet that was definitely made out of plastic, still made a wonderfull "woody" noise. Didn't realise it was plastic until I switched to a new school band at about 13/14 and another kid who had a "proper" wooden instrument turned his nose up at mine and made me feel about 2 inches tall.
15. Mini but mighty
16.
Thank you Bilbo for posting these. An absolute pleasure to listen to.
+1 lovely tunes
I listened to em all
me too
17. subscribed. Love the idea.
18. Just sold an Ashdown combo to minimarvel (Pete). Good communication. No problems, great guy. Deal with confidence.
19. Its here! along with a second hand SP10 cab (thanks very much to Sean/KingPrawn) its my new mini but powerful rig. Love the sound at living room levels, lovely tubeyness through to drivey goodness. Giving it a proper thrash at rehearsal tomorrow through a Hartke 4x10 and an no-name 1x15. Can't wait. Edit - sounded immense at rehearsal through the 4x10, punchy and a little bit drivey. I sat well in the mix which I've struggled with before (keyboard player is a bit too keen on the low frequencies) heard myself wonderfully. Didn't go above 3 on the volume or 5 on the gain so plenty of headroom for bigger rooms or gigs. Used the EQ to add a touch of bass and backed it up with EQ on my bass. Sounded good enough to eat. Our guitarist (a dedicated Marshall user) was impressed enough to want to try the Tiny Terror guitar head.
20. I started out 100% pick style, then went totally fingerstyle (and some very bad slap). Now I play both depending on the style of music and the sound required. Mostly fingerstlye in my covers band and mostly pick style in my originals band. (still very bad slap )
21. apologies for the rubbish photos. all PM's replied to. nothing definite yet.

23.
I recently p/x'd mine back to the same shop after 6 months, and only lost £20! Its a great little combo, and could hold its own in smaller venues. We used to Di and use it as a monitor at larger places. Great deal, good luck.
Nice deal DrDave, What shop was that? You're right it is a good combo. Does what it says on the tin.
