1. Probably the worst bass player I've seen...Jonny Rodd(W A S P) Lots of posing, but no actual playing. While we're on the higher profile/excellent players, I am abit confused.com about the sound of Billy Sheehan and the Dream Theatre Myung: Love Billy /Met Billy / Saw Mr. Big back in the day. We get to the Bass solo ...inaudible crap!! Dream Theatre: Don't really do much for me on cd. Live: Dream Theare ..Excellent. Myung..inaudible crap!! 6 strings not needed. Now , we know that these are 2 Awesome musicians . They endorse basses etc.(as does Wentz, whoever he is)in magazines. Does it matter what they use at the end of the day? Cronos from Venom could be heard As for the u2 Bassman. He has got to be the most focused player on the planet . Touring the world with Bono for so long ,must test the patience of so many.
 2. Haven't looked at all of this thread, but I've just spotted a HM special BassPlayer mag. May be worth loooking at.
 3.
Yep sure is. I've done it for a couple of people now. One guy did a lot of fingerboard tapping so needed the extra freedom of movement around the neck. Plus the strap hugs you and is therefore less likely to fall off if you are moving about or not playing.
Thanks for that. Will do it this way.
 4.
Bootlace around the headstock behind the strings above the nut. Tie the bootlace through the hole in the strap. Sort of like this:
I did think of that Wasn't too sure how stable it would be . Looks good the way you did it. It still baffles me why the manufacturers of these instruments , cant put both strap buttons on
 5.
Well usually the neck heel is the safest bet but you don't want that. Why?
Yeah,maybe that's the answer.
 6. I have a Dean Hollowbody bass. Trouble is , I don't know where to put another button on it , so that I can actually play it with a strap.Any ideas? (I don't want to put it on the neck tho' ) Don't know why these manufacturers ,didn't put two buttons on the bass anyway. Cheers
 7. Well, I'm looking at what I could offload to get it. Nice bass. Me want Me can't have ....yet!
 8. What amp have you got? Do you have pedals? Did Rammstein blow everyone away!?!
 9.
don't wanna scare U but this is not a valid serial....U have to have a serial number like Z512345 for ex., or something like SXXXXXX, the "S" meaning seventies since U think the bass is from that period....look closer or maybe U misread it and it is actually S701439
Yeah, I was scared Thanks for confirming the '' s ''
 10.
and the serial number....
8701439
 11.
Did you ever sell this?
No , it's still here.
 12.
Would you be willing to sell the 6 string on its own? and post it? Whats the enck shape, does it have 24 frets?
Could sell it on its own . Don't really wanna post tho' . Too scared. 24 frets? yes. What's an enck? Thanks for asking
 13.
To answer your question, yes, it's probably worth offering it for sale. Bear in mind that you'll have to come up with a price though. A
Thanks for that. Don't want to rip off the friendly basschatters ,so I'll have a think beforehand.
 14.
Hey Ray, Does it cut out when you wiggle the lead about in the socket? May just be a dry / cracked solder joint and can be repaired by someone who is competent at soldering for next to nothing.
Yeah. How I did it , was by putting a socket between a standard guitar lead into the small socket on the Toneport GX. Don't need it now ,as I have the UX1 which has bigger sockets.
 15. Jordan,Kerry Katona,
 16. The sound keeps cutting out. Question is , is it worth selling on here with box, gearbox cd etc.? Just got the Pod studio ux1 in its place.
 17.
Sounds like you need a prostitute.
18. I'd say , take a break! Whether it's 6 months or 6 years. You have alot going on at the moment, and you're abit fed up with the music side of things. Sort the rest of your life out ,and I reckon you'll be picking the bass up eventually and you'll enjoy it again. If you can , try to avoid selling all your kit. Keep what you can. You may find it harder to track down stuff at a similar price in the future. Good luck with what you're doin'
 19.
I've had several red ones,at least 2 Natural ones,a white one with a black center section, never a Green one I also took a red one, carved an Ibanez Jem handle in it (Used a real DY777 as a template) and resprayed it yellow and black tiger stripe, hiding the pick ups and knobs in the black sections. I then sold it to a guy who used it live, and blinded the audience with it,who knew Flourescent yellow paint would be SOoooooooooooooooooo bright under U.V. light!
Cool
