1.
Indeed. They just don't want a ham-fisted bass player. What's wrong with that?
Probably the best post on this thread Btw; I have had one or 2 serious fopics I have posted, and loved the witty comments . The o p liked them here . I assume he got somebody, and seems to be a really nice bloke . Some veggies need to lighten up
2. Brilliant stuff;) bissonnet brothers are cool Love the band name
3. Nice playing . Nice sound. Have an octave bump
4. Maybe a boss me 50 b is easier to use ?
5. Ouch! Hope it heels soon. Hope you get 'back ' to your usual self.( sorry) .
6. Had a very pleasant exchange of amplification with Kev yesterday. He travelled a fair way too. Top bloke, nice guy and highly recommend ed to do business with
7. Thanks for this guys. Gutted that I can't make it in September as I will be away. Hopefully,,it won't be a short term thing, and they will come over again next year .
8. Cool thread. Glad it went well
9. What were you thinking of tradewise ? I have an 8 string bass or a 6 string? Have a freddy Kruger bump anyway
10. Always remember as a kid, the bas player from the groundhogs. Used them. Never saw them at the time, but when I first tried out a bass in a shop ,I asked to try an eb3. Got a strange look as I was only 16 and couldn't play a note. Have a bump anyway
11. Always wanted a Freddy Kruger What kind of trade ate you looking for? I may offload my Aguilar stuff soon. Have a Freddy Kruger bump anyway
12. My experience in rehearsals was great. ( maybe I was swayed by the lights). When I got one, it was very rumbley ,and the weight was more than my sister in law ...
13. Washburn status , if you can find one ( gotta lose the head tho')
14.
I always though they kinda sounded like someone playing an acoustic bass with a duvet stuffed inside it... still each to their own I guess... Rob
Just me & you hen Rob
15. I do like the look of Trace amps tho' .
16. Interesting thread this .
17.
Dull and muddy. Hmmm.... Not in my experience. Doug Wimbish has been playing Trace since forever. Try some early Tackhead.
Heard the name, will check them on you tube
18. Didnt know much about him ( except for that song). Rip anyway
19.
I did my school 'work experience' in the Trace factory when I was 14. In between packing stuff into boxes and doing regular paid staffs jobs whilst they sat around drinking tea and talking about arsenal, I tried out pretty much the entire range at the time (late 90s) To be honest I was distinctly underwhelmed and have stayed clear of Trace ever since. I tried out a friends Ashdown a few years back and that also sounded suitably muffled and wooly. Give me a nice bright GK sound instead... Rob This madee laugh;) . What I found about TE is that, they look great and sound good on pokey rehearsal rooms but sound dull and thuddy at gigs and at home
20. They don't need 11
