  1. This looks a unique Atelier Z bass. I like it!
  2. Oh my!!! That is beautiful.........just beautiful!
  3. Welcome back @BassAdder60
  4. Great job. The sense of achievement from a self-build must be a great motivator for future projects! Well done!
  5. There is something elegantly simple about a 3TS Precision with a tort scratch-plate. I’ve been on a long and winding bass journey over the years. I really enjoyed the diversity of other types of basses (including some active ones), but I keep coming back to where I started. You can’t beat it.
  6. I’ve been very impressed by the Yamaha TRB5ii - both fretted and Fretless. Great value for money and Japanese quality. IMO, they are easily as good as the average modern Fender.
  7. Don’t rule out a cheaper alternative. I’ve been well impressed with the overall dynamics of a pair of Sony MDR 7506 that you can get for around €100. I use them to listen to FLAC quality audio files.
  8. Try flats! They last forever and the tone (if it’s for you) will not change much over the years.
  9. I use a felt pick for my Höfner violin bass, much like that other guy who’s been around for a while.
  10. It just goes to show that reputation and reality can sometimes be at odds! Good score on your £700 cracker!
  11. Looks like a nice bass with character and mojo. Well done! Enjoy it
  12. I was going to add a set to a Thomann order, since I’m a tight-wad. Still need to pull the trigger on the main item though.
  13. Nice bass. Japanese quality and a great relic job. I have a Buzz Hornet built by the same guy who did this relic job. It’s a great “players” bass, so I would expect this one to be very nice as well. GLWTS.
  14. Wow, that's some collection you have there. Impressed.
  15. Also offers string-through body as well as the usual BBOT anchorage. I think this was not transferred to the Ultra, which is a shame imo.
  16. Great job. Very nice grain hidden under that original paint job, which the Tru-Oil will reveal to the full.
  17. I would love to add this to my GB/Goodfellow collection!!! Damn Brexshite!!
  18. A beautiful example.
  19. Not for me.....but each to their own.
  20. They are in the same ball-park - between 20 and 23mm on my two Limelight jazz basses.
  21. All the very best for you!
  22. That looks great! A classic.
  23. I’d second this comment. Aside from weight issues on some, many that I’ve tried have been just as good as those made in the U.S. Especially the early ones made in Korea.
  24. Just to say that Augusto is a great seller. A great example of Basschat’s international clientele! GLWTS.
