  1. Loving it! What’s not to like?! Good score.
  2. I had the same thing happen to me with a bridge and vol/tone control grub screws. I think Mark has changed his process for producing relic’d hardware. So no longer an issue if you buy “new” from him. Pot-luck if a “second hand” Limelight though. Overall, I find Limelight instruments a good balance between price/quality.
  3. Another owner/user here. These are mega!
  4. You might have more interest in your post if it were placed in the “Wanted” section. Mods: suggest this post be transferred.
  5. I have adjusted the dual truss rods on Rickenbackers a few times. Unless the neck is twisted, I have tried always to do the same to each rod and gently turn each in sequence. With Ricks I normally try for a flat board with minimum relief, per factory recommendation. Not always possible though. Sounds like you may have to look at the frets, as you indicate.
  6. I think Macca uses felt picks rather than plastic, but he seems pretty good at it😁
  7. I liked my first M245 Custom so much, I’ve some how accumulated a few more Atelier Z’s. Gratuitous pic time:
  8. Fabulous………and a great back story! Enjoy!
  9. For me, it is like the “rubbing your tummy and patting your head trick”. It is tricky and I have a similar approach to @Lozz196. I simplify the bass line and concentrate on the vocals. I just about get away with backings and really admire those who can front lead vocal and play.
  10. Go for it! Top draw quality instruments.
  11. The Dimension is a recent example. Nice bass, but Fender fan-boys just didn’t see beyond the P or J looking glass!
  12. A tech may indeed have done that and not tested thoroughly, or just thought, sod it! Sounds plausible.
  13. …….and I’ve told you a million times not to exaggerate!
  14. Absolutely! The book will appear cheap 😁
  15. “Wherever I lay my hat, I play at home”
  16. I made a proposal - eventually rejected - for a previous cover band I was in. The name proposed was "CYA". I thought it was clever, but the my band mates either didn't get it or thought it too weird. Hey-ho.
  17. Three bands: Band 1: The Muffin Topz Band 2: Runway2 Band 3: Band with no Name
  18. While I don’t have the precise number to hand, I’ve always found Hiscox (chainsaw-shaped) hardcases to be sturdy and light in weight. A P bass should fit with no problems.
  19. I’m in the same boat, so can really empathise with all those others in a similar situation. I do a series of physio-taught core muscle exercises on a regular basis. It keeps my condition in check, but - from time to time - I do something stupid without thinking and, ping, I’m back in the land of pain and pills. My wife took a small video of me during one episode to serve as a reminder never to go there again. It actually helps me to watch it when all is OK!
  20. Nice looking bass. Shame about the buckle rash that’ll be on the back after playing in that stage outfit!
  21. This ^^^^^^. I have also had several very positive interactions with Hipshot. Very responsive, technical focus.
  22. Seems like as many do as those that don’t. Getting hold of a stable one could be a bit of a crap-shoot.
