  1. Fair comment. 😂
  2. It's a combination of the vocal harmonies, the musicality and especially the lyrics which are about child abuse.
  3. It just goes to show how very different people are. I will always love you is one song which would have me running for the off button every single time. I could just about cope with Dolly's version, but Whitney's is screechy, over sung, overbearing and overplayed to death. Different horses and all that. For me one of the greatest songs ever recorded is Janie's Got a Gun by Aerosmith, and I highly doubt many people would agree with me.
  4. Best value amps on the market.
  5. Sorry guys. Life caught up with me this week. Haven't even had time to listen to last week's. So I'm happy to go with @BillyBass suggestion above.
  6. In my case it's my own ineptitude.
  7. Precisely! If delivery is offered I'll have it. If not, I'm not interested.
  8. Ooh I hate that one! There's loads of stuff I would happily buy but I wouldn't have a clue how to arrange my own courier to pick it up.
  9. I'd definitely buy that if you were closer.
  10. Another interesting one this week. Latin pop/post punk/rock. Not exactly a go to genre for me but I'm give it a go. Bandcamp https://lavidaboheme.bandcamp.com/album/ser Spotify https://open.spotify.com/album/3pmsaPjaLVhM7In7eZKEre Tidal https://tidal.com/album/129682964 YouTube
  11. I used to have the Gretsch and they're superbly built, well playable instruments.
  12. No worse than some of the sh#t I've seen Bootsy play.
  13. I'd give my right nut for this! I'm not sure what my right nut is worth, but would you consider a trade?
  14. Excellent. That's what this thread's all about. I've yet to listen to anything that would inspire me to buy it, but it's still early days. 😁
  15. That's got some mojo. Is it real or a relic job?
  16. In the spirit of " look at what you could have won" I would have loved to have been here when I was 13.
  17. You'd have to do the research. They all do pretty much do the same thing, but I found Distro Kid to be the best all rounder. However. If you already have music with another distributor that you're happy with I don't think I'd bother changing just for the sake of it.
  18. "What makes your sound?" Stumbling over strings and missing notes generally.
  19. I don't even know what 15/- means. But in that case, that particular weekend I would have been busy not yet existing.
  20. Yup. I did a lot of research a couple of years ago when we released our first single and came to the conclusion that Distro Kid was the best way to go. It's really easy to use, takes care of pretty much everything automatically. Doesn't take any commission, and it's really inexpensive. Do a Google search for Distro Kid code and you'll be able to find a discount to get it even cheaper for your first year.
  21. I wish I'd stuck at it when I first started learning to play at 15 instead of packing in for the next 25 years. I may have been proficient by now. I regret trading in my old Ibanez lawsuit era Rick for a guitar that I never really learned how to play. I think I got £50 for it trade in value. Closest thing you could get to a real Rick for under a grand now. I also regret selling my orange 4x10 cab and Marshall Guvnor distortion pedal for fifty quid because I needed to tax my car.
  22. What year was it? Unless I'm blind or daft (probably both) I can't see any mention of the year on the poster.
  23. Please do. It's genuinely been a life saver for some of us. It always helps to know that you're not alone and other people are in the same boat. I've found through this forum that the support of strangers can be a really powerful thing.
  24. In fairness the add does say to contact the OP if you're interested. So it would only take a quick message to find out if its something you're genuinely interested in.
