1. I'm selling my Crown XTi 1000 power amp, less than 6 months old, powerful and light. Transferable warranty, immaculate condition. 1400 watts at 4 ohms, 1000 watts at 8 ohms. Cheers Steve.
2. I'm selling both of my Accugroove Tri 112L's. Brilliant sound, brilliant condition. One cover included, would cost £100. 400w at 8 ohms each, the 2 together will give you 800w at 4 ohms. Light, 17kg's each. Only selling as a pair, so don't ask me to split them. Collection prefered. Cheers Steve.
3. Good luck Kit. What are you selling it for and how come you don't like the sound? Steve.
4. Try lowering your pickups slightly. The Will Power pickups, neck, have huge magnets in them and having the strings too close can cause the string to vibrate eratically.
5.
Chris, I'm glad I didnt commit to having these off you as when I've checked with the importer my Mesa amp is 4 Ohm and would've probably gone pop if i'd tried it with these..... Pheeewww! Good luck, these should sell...!
If your amp is 4 ohm, then these would be perfect. 8+8 ohms =4 ohms.
6.
Hi all, even though I've been in the electronics game for some years, I still find a confusing amount of claims by manufacturers about their products and I 'm still in search of the best solvent for cleaning up noisey pots, sliders and jack sockets. Can anyone recomend the best? Cheers Just
Can't recommend the best, as I've only ever used two types. The more expensive Servisol and the cheaper Halfords Electrical Contact Cleaner. I used the later yesterday to clean the pots on a 20+ years old semi acoustic guitar that had been lying in a loft, face up and uncovered. It was about an inch thick in sh*te and the pots were very bad, crackled even when you rocked them. I gave each of the four pots and the pup selector switch a good 2-3 sprays, turning the pots back and forth for a while. Bingo, good as new. Nice smooth action again and no crackles whatsoever.
7. I say, let's overthrow the planet. Anarchy will reign for about 10 -15 years, then, when all of the politicians and leaders or the armed forces have been executed, military technology has been reabsorbed into the mainstream, so as to bring us up to speed with what's really happening, we will live through a very interesting period of lawlessness and bartering. In this total reconfiguration of human society, there will only be two things that will have survived from the old ways, cockroaches and students.
8. Hi Nick If I wasn't waiting for Kit (MintyFreshDeath)'s EMG JV's, I would buy these from you. Arse parts! Gutted you didn't post these last week.
9.
Cheeky S-S!
What happening between you and Jake? Are you going to swap cabs? Steve.
10. Hi Kev have you ever used spraying equipment before? Base coat, gold, colour, lacquer, total 12 coats with flattening in between. If you feel confident in your abilities why not have a couple of pracice attempts on a mock up. But remember, if you don't get an exact match it's gonna look terrible and will ruin the whole look of your bass. I'd guess about £100-150.
11.
Well as far as the bass youll never want another, go for it, superb, costly but heh! the cab switch seems a tad unfair from my point of view!
12.
I recently bought Billy Sheehan's advanced bass book/dvd, he was explaining his rig and the individual components it comprises of. The SVP-BSP was stunning! Plenty of control and fine tuning options. I may get one eventually...
Hi Andy go an have a listen on Basstasters to the SVP BSP, it sounds so good and can easily hold its own against all the "Dolce and Gabbana" stuff. I've got the SVP PRO and it's drive-gain mixing capability gives you a nostrel slicing distortion. Made in the USA, upgraded with five Harma Diamond valves, sweet, sweet, sweet with 1.4Kilowatt of Crown power amp.
13.
Luckily this isn't the case and they both lived happily ever after
Or did they? Hi Kit there is still no sign of the pickups. I've sent you pm's and you don't appear to have opened them. Could you please check your pm's. Steve.
14. Project Classic in Cherry with Ortofon cart. I used to have an Ariston A8?, the one that Linn based the LP12 on. Someone I know is selling a Townshend Rock with a Linn arm but the bearings a knackered. I phoned Max T to see about a rebuild but it was quite pricey. I'd like a Roksan Xerxes X with all the trimmings. But if I won the lottery, I mean the big one, I'd have a DCS CD player, Clearaudio Master Reference turntable, with Koetsu cartridge, Bryston, Mark Levinson, McIntosh or Krell amps, Wilson Alexandria speakers with solid silver speaker cables and interconnects. All built into a concrete and steel reinforced, subterrainian listening room, acoustically corrected. All fitted by the Audio Salon, over seen by John Crabbe and Ken Kessler. Obviously that would be next door to my recording studio.
15.
Just wanted to give a big thumb's up to Steve after he recently completed some maintenance and upgrade work on my Les Evans custom fretless. The jobs included changing the bridge, reshielding the control cavity and checking the wiring on my preamp, and setting the bass up afterwards. The quality of his work is excellent and the bass is sounding as good as it ever has. Not only was he very reasonably priced but he even arranged delivery of the bass back to me when he was finished - courtesy of his lovely wife, Alison. I would have no hesitation in going back to Steve for any jobs in relation to any of my basses and can thoroughly recommend him. Thanks, Steve - and Alison! Mark
Hi Mark, Wow! Thank you so much. It was a pleasure. BTW, what turntable do you have? Cheers Steve.
16. Dig dat Doug Dude.
17. Larks tongues, Ocelote's livers, get 'em while they're hot.
18. Great. How does it compare to the combo?
19. Why do you ask?
20.
kool... may see you there then. Im the short guy with peroxide blonde(white) hair! doors are opening at 8.30 but were not on till about 10.30 and its £3 entry in case you do come. Hope to see you later! Alex
Hi Alex, how's the 4.5 doing? White hair? Outstanding. Stay groovey. Steve.
21.
With the amount you complain about other people's prices in for sale threads, this one represents true comedy gold. If you're serious about want to sell, I'll pay the price you paid and not a penny more.
It's a lovely bass and I don't know how much Kev wants for it or how much he paid for it but I do know that I have met some great folk on here and done some great deals buying and selling gear. Maybe Kev will rethink his price. Everything that goes around comes around.
22. Hi Kit, thanks for getting in touch and thanks for sending the pickups. I would like to say that I do not use "Bully Boy" tactics. I attempted to contact you on numerous occasions after buying the pickups and sending you the money to find out what was happening and each time I was polite and completely non aggresive and each time you did not respond. If you did want to change your mind about selling them to me, why didn't you contact me offering to refund my money? I agree that taking our dealings out of pm's was not a good idea but you posted the first non pm'ed response to Gizmo implying that I had only pm'ed interest about the pickups and that you would go ahead and sell them to him but they had already been sold them to me, which you never stated in the post. This is Just to set the record straight as I object to being called a "Bully Boy" when it is unnecessary and untrue. Steve.
23.
I have been trying to contact Minty_Fresh_Death for the last hour or so. So if you are reading this, Kit, will you please contact me and let me know what is happening.
24.
Heya man Unfortunately steve soar has already pm'd me reguarding the emgs... but if your mate can stump up the cash for the Squire then i'll sell both to you BUT You will have to give me a definate answer by the end of tomorrow (24th), or i'll have to ship to Steve, since i'm being a bastard by even thinking about going back on the deal I agreed to here.
I have already paid for the pickups. The money was transfered into your account at 22.26 pm, today.
25. Hi Kev, I'm glad you came to your senses. I know I only listened to it for about a minute but it was total class. Have you sold the EX112? Cheers Steve.
