Oh no, shed envy. Does the ESP on the left have LED's? I know it's a garage but to a bloke, it's still a shed.

You could always drive yourself up the wall looking for an old clapped out Fender, that will hold its/go up in value, though £1400 won't get you a vintage one. Or, you could, as Peter has said, contact Mr Alan Cringean and discuss your dream bass but a word of warning, be absolutely certain about what you ask for is right for you. How long is the wait for an ACG now?
Had no plans to sell but GAS attack means my Bergantino HT112 and EX112 are for sale. Sweet sounding cabs, built like tanks, small but not particularly light. Excellent condition. Tweeter not working in HT112 (don't miss it) but new diaphragm is on it's way to Mark at Bass Direct - easy to fit or Mark has quoted £25 to do the job and this is reflected in the price. 300 watts at 8ohms - will split but wont post - meet or collect. £220 each or £425 the pair. Please please please...no inquests or debates on whether I should be selling these or not - I know you mean well but frankly it's tedious.
I totally understand, I am dreading/looking forward to going round to TerryK's, to see his Tech cab, gas is a cruel mistress. What are you replacing them with? Steve.

Nice bass sound on the intro to "Our House". Try letting your preamp run at just going into distortion, so as to give your speakers a little bark but you can back off with your volume on the amp. Yeah, Bedders is a great bass player, very underated and in one of Englands most successful bands. Can't see why your VBA and 4x12 won't tear it up with a P bass, wow, that will be a joy to behold. But don't stress if you can't get HIS tone, settle for YOUR tone instead.

3/10 cabs... any reason why nobody makes them?
Steve, what's that bass in the background - is something interesting happening to it?
If you call collecting dust interesting. I was going to get it sorted out but with it being right handed, I just haven't been inspired. I gave it to a guitarist friend who was going to do something to it for himself but when I saw how he was getting on I quickly took it back. Any Ideas? (yeah, put it in the f***in' bin and burn it) -
Memrees, like the co....

I love that Lakki in your pic. Burgandy Mist is the best colour for Fenderesque basses, IMO.

Alright Fella. Nice one with Pete Wylie and you couldn't have picked a better bunch of misfits to join.

I take it you don't tan easily. I couldn't stand the heat, no way.
+1: I was going to suggest get a Roqsolid or similar cover if you want to protect the cab, irrespective of covering
+1. You should always invest in some decent, padded covers. You wouldn't put your bass in the back of the van without a case or gig bag, would you?

I know, what was I thinking. I can't wait to get it back to its former glory. A couple of shots of the bass....from 1990!
Hi, folks -- I used to hate Ritters ... until I saw this on Talkbass. Now I've suddenly fallen in love with them, even some of the uglier ones. I'm skint, I don't need one and my wife would kill me -- but I'm in the grip of GAS. Tell me I'm a mad fool Cheers Mark
Hi Mark just delete your posting and forget you ever saw it.

That's what a bass rig should look like, as tall as the bassist.

This is my KGB Status replica, made for me in 1986 by Keith Bennion of KGB Musical Instruments, Birkenhead. Back in the early 80's, when Rob Green released his Status basses and guitars, the impact that these instruments had on people was amazing. Steinberger had already released their carbon-composite basses but they were IMO totally blown away by the beautiful, bass shaped designs of Status. Being a Level 42 fan, 20 years old and unaware that I was suffering from G.A.S. (which has become a lifetime condition), I contacted Green Machine Technology and enquired about getting a bass built. End of story. They didn't build them in left hand, as the moulds were too expensive to produce. I was gutted. So I went to KGB and asked Keith if he could build me a copy. The only dimensions we had that were 100% accurate were the scale length and a review that had stated the overall length of the bass, oh and a few photos. After deciding on the best woods to emulate the graphite neck and the sound that it gave, we decided on a two piece Canadian Hard Rock maple through neck, with the blackest piece of Ebony I have ever seen for the fingerboard. The body was to be Hondo mahogany and the facing was the now ultra rare Brazilian rosewood. ABM and custom hardware and a change of pickups, from Kent Armstrong to EMG's, with a Kent Armstrong 18v active eq. Anyway, here are some photos of the bass during the stripping back of the black finish I had Keith put over all of that beautiful wood, back in 1992 (I thought it would look cool-what a dick). I used Nitrmorse and sanded it back through the grades to give to Keith for a respray. The bass is at KGB having the work done, which includes the respray, routing for an East U Retro and a part refret. I'll post some more when the bass has been put back together.
