  1. I work with 2 singers who use IEMs, one takes ages, which means the FOH is often rushed. However, the other is done and dusted super quick, and the FOH seems right almost off the bat. I don't know if this is down to the product, or personal preferences.
  2. There you go, sorted. Good choice of strings there too, I love ‘em.
  3. I’m a bit of a Maruszczyk fanboy, so I have to give a shout out for their Jake bass, a P bass with a slightly narrower nut width (not J bass slim though) if you buy off the peg. My recent Pino-alike purchase. Sounds like a P to me.
  4. The nerd room at Ez Towers.
  5. 😂😂😂 I have just one band T shirt (it’s a Rush one, yes I like Rush, but it’s more about the imagery on that one), then I have a beer one (Brew Dog), a couple of Bass type ones (P bass and Ricky playing stormtrooper), an Old Grey Whistle Test one (probably my favourite), a Blade Runner quote and then a couple of random designs. I can’t be a blank canvas, I’m already bland enough 😥
  6. Ooh, sneaky! However, keeping the bass you already own and clearly like, is no bad thing and it is a beaut in its own right. You could of course try replacing the pickup for a ceramic one, but it may not achieve the desired result.
  7. I don’t know anything about curing that finish, but I think it looks great.
  8. Well I suppose PP did replace MK on Gary Numan’s, I Assassin.
  9. Loving the Mick Karn vibe on SIN.
  10. No, front to back (depth). I always found (it’s been a while mind) the rosewood boarded necks to be shallower, at least on 4 string models. Things may have changed. If you find this maple boarded beauty easier to play, prefer the ceramic tone and like the aesthetics (and why wouldn’t you?), it sounds like it’s time to open the wallet. Happy days!
  11. Sounds like a decision made to me. I have to agree, that maple one looks stunning. If it’s as comfortable as the rosewood to play (personally, I have found EBMM maple ‘boards more chunky than rosewood ones, at least on 4 stringers) then go for it. Either way, it’s s nice dilemma to have.
  12. The Bass Whisperer being blown away by a Serek at 7:51.
  13. 😍 Sahweet!
  14. You know the rules, photos or it didn’t happen
  15. The mark of a good instrument, new or otherwise. Enjoy.
  16. Nice! Loved the Singles in my old Ibby and they look great into the bargain.
  17. Ooh, I’m liking the Nordys on the cream one. Big Splits or Singles?
  18. I really like the veneer insert on the front of the neck where it meets the body, very discreet. That body has a very Ibanez Prestige 1200 series look to it.
  19. Have some more messing... Joe playing that old Robelli again rather than his EBMM sig.
  20. I like his voice, but it’s so distinctive that the DBs sounded like an MM backing band. Any of those tracks could’ve been from MM’s solo album.
  21. Yeah, it’s the top 2 diagrams.
  22. You can slide the Allen key under the string as it is at an angle. However, you will need to loosen the string to move the saddle, as under tension it is hard to move. Here’s an extract from the user manual.
  23. Cloth covered buttons. It really is something you can do yourself. Get yourself down to your local haberdashery.
  24. Here’s a couple of photos of a ‘63 P bass I used to own.
