1.
Bit rude. It should be, 'Will you vanish from Basschat, PLEASE?'
Now I heard in a more imploring way, "Will you pleeeease vanish from Basschat?"
2.
Had a bizarre effect on one of our cats,
That line really made me chuckle.
3. As a confirmed bassaholic, I think I'll always be here to peer at the porn threads and feed my GAS with the for sale section. Yeah, I get tired of some of the trolls (subject to your definition of trolling of course), but judicious use of the ignore post setting is always available (although sometimes reading a BC 'car crash' is entertaining in its own way; sometimes).
4.
There is a reason there is "From Player to Player" on the headstock.
Very true.
5. This is easy for me - Peter Gabriel, So. Also my favourite album of any decade.
6.
Kind of tempted to do a thin skin nitro shoot in olympic white, with clear coat as well - which is sure to relic quickly and nicely. That would mean not playing it for a while though... that ain't gonna happen for a while!
Ah, ever the dilemma; sounds cool though.
7. Looks like a lovely job you've done there. If this hadn't sold, I might've taken it back to 'normal' too, although I would have probably ended up adding an ash veneer to match the ramp (a proper wood veneer this time). Enjoy, I know I did.
8. It seems that manufacturers can't have a NAMM or MusikMesse come around without having something 'new' to show off. These offerings from MM are definitely not for me, especially at what I can only suppose will be £1k+ prices. Has anyone looked at the guitars (sorry)? The Stingray is...well you decide http://blog.music-man.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/SRG-crop.jpg
9. He is a top player which I think helps when it comes to designing and making basses. As I have a build on order, this thread doesn't make the wait any easier
10. It looked the biz before, but now that there're strings on it, it looks like a proper bass. That finish looks sooo deep.
11. And so the last of my current purge leaves Ez Towers. Mods, do your thing please
12. David just bought my Ibanez GWB35. No muss, no fuss. Great comms and a nice fella to deal with into the bargain.
13. EBS Unichorus. I've had it for years and can't see a reason to change.
14. I try not too bash my basses and guitars, but not to the point of wrapping the in cotton wool and tip-toeing around with them. KB has it nailed..
If you scratch a bass it remains a musical instrument. If you refuse to play it, it becomes and expensive ornament.
15. Probably my most favourite number in our set. PG is my favourite solo artist by far.
16. Ooh, that sounds like a great gig; right up my alley. If I lived anywhere near Brum, I'd be all over this. Someone is going to be a happy bass chappy.
17.
.. Any idea of a price on that with the multi coils?
Not a scooby doo I'm afraid. It's certainly not on the 'shop' page.
18. Ooh, an interview with Chris Childs, one of my biggest influences (albeit not with Thunder); nice.
19.
Moderators ( or anyone else who may be able to help ) I have been PM'd with a request to change the title to "David Bowie RIP" as being more fitting, which of course is fine by me, but I'm not sure how to do it, bear in mind also, that I'm at work on my phone at the moment Thanks in advance
Edit the original post and select Full Editor at the bottom, then you can edit the title.
20. I was genuinely shocked and felt the need to sit down. We are unlikely to see his kind again, truly fearless in his approach to his art, never scared to change, never standing still. He will be one of the immortals, as his output will live on and on.
21.
Speaking of the trio, they're back together in the studio right now!
Ooh, goodo! Exciting times
