Went to fit the new knobs - they don’t fit! The holes are a bit small. Never mind, I’ll make a more informed choice next time. This set are going to live on an old Trace head that was missing it’s knobs.

There was a member here who took a saw to the back of his heavy bass, taking off a perfect slice. Mad skills.

Yeah, I’ll probably screw it up. Was hoping there would be a nice easy chemical solution, like pop it in vinegar for 30 seconds and it would magically match perfectly.

In one of my contemplative moods, whilst staring in to space instead of being a productive member of society, my gaze fell upon my favourite bass. Felt the urge to change something, and thought gold anodized knobs to match the gold anodized scratchplate might work. Knobs ordered/sailed/arrived - too damn gold. Is it possible to tone the colour down to match the scratchplate? Light sanding?

Absolutely does my head in when a scratchplate or control plate doesn’t follow the body line!

Is the difference between the 60b to 60b+ more hardware or software? Just wondering if it was software then I could just upload the new patches from that Zoom Effects Manager (if they are available/compatible).

A couple of months ago I responded to a Recycle post here from a very kind chap @verb. I have yet to make an appropriate sleeve, and it will also need a visit to an amp spa, but behold….

I had an amp that decided to die in soundcheck. Absolutely sh*t myself as it was a big important one (for me - in the grand scheme of things it was just another covers gig). Soundie (bless his cotton socks) wheeled out an old 2x10 Trace combo and saved the night. Yes. Love was felt that night. Probably the best onstage sound I’ve ever had.
