Squier 6 String Jazz, so who’s tempted at this price?
Pea Turgh replied to jimbobothy's topic in Bass Guitars
Great intro to 6 string, and probably not too difficult to shift due to the F word. Hopefully they’ll still be around at a good price next year when I’ve financially recovered from Christmas. Still gutted I didn’t buy a Squier Vista series Musicmaster when they were selling for £100 in the late 90’s 😂 -
What is the fretboard made from? So dark and shiny! Lovely looking bass. Sorry to hear about your friend, though.

Continuing the theme, innit - remember the image from the first post?

The Short Scale Bass Appreciation Society!
Pea Turgh replied to Baloney Balderdash's topic in Bass Guitars
I like the headstock arrangement better with another tuner! The rest of it looks cool too. Wonder if they’ll do a six stringer one day?! -
There’s a couple of hours on the configurator well spent! Marooshcheck have got your t-bird / jag desires covered!!! Now to save £5k for the both of them 😭

That’s gert lush. Imagine also roastie maple and lollipop tuners…. Ooh err.

Medleys. Want to get involved in another band's argument?
Pea Turgh replied to uk_lefty's topic in General Discussion
I can’t stand medleys. I also hugely dislike key changes. I appreciate I may be in the minority here! 😂 -
Here’s a rescue job I did last year. Assume late 60’s/early 70’s. Such a lovely neck! Headstock is massive and weighty, so a set of lightweight tuners will be fitted at some point.

NBD x 2 - Basses from my Bucket List - Ritter and Dingwall
Pea Turgh replied to admiralchew's topic in Bass Guitars
Lovely basses. I really like the Dingwall colour scheme. The Ritter top is nuts, too! Nice playing also! -
Pretty sure that’s a Basschatters’ bass. Seen one like it on these pages before. edit Here it is;

Anyone bought a cheap (Chinese) neck off eBay?
Pea Turgh replied to NancyJohnson's topic in Bass Guitars
I found the seller on eBay - couldn’t see any all maple roasted flamed P sizes. Can’t buy anything yet anyway, but will be good to get your feedback on it. I bought a rosewood bound neck for about £90odd quid a few years ago - did the trick just fine. Had I bought a maple board version at the time I’d likely still have it! -

@Ander87 has a nice looking one for his bitsa build; Would love to see an all roasted maple P version. -

Barefaced Two10s - ON HOLD - *SOLD*

Lack of gigs plus impending bills mean this lovely cab is available for sale. Never intended to sell, but can’t have it just sitting there doing nothing! Bought it not long before lockdown, so probably used for less than 10 gigs and a couple of rehearsals. Used with my Ampeg PF350 for a mini SVT vibe! Hell of a sound, light enough to move around and keeps up nicely with a couple of guitarists and a drummer. Original shipping box is long gone (wasn’t expecting to let it go!) but has the official padded cover. I ordered new from BF, so asked them to pop the badge on in portrait orientation - looks the business! No dreaded tolex peel, just two tiny bits of tolex damage the back at the bottom. About size of a 5p coin at most. Currently £849 new, and aside from the tiny tolex damage, you’d be hard pressed to tell this one wasn’t. Based in Swansea. You are welcome to come try it out. Can post, but will need time to locate a suitable box. Also going to Gloucester on Sat 9th Nov if that makes a meet up possible for you. Specs: (H x W x D)38cm x 61cm x 33cm 15" x 24" x 13" Weight 13kg / 28lbs Broadband sensitivity 98dB Max power 500W RMS (800W clean) Max Output ~125dB Frequency Range 30Hz-6kHz (-20kHz with tweeter) Impedance Switchable 4/12 Ohms

That’s a lovely cab. And pedal board. And bass. Quite like the dog, too.
