  1. I bought some wooden full-length wedge-types off eBay. Will let you know how I get on when I fit them (estimated completion date: some time late Feb).
  2. I stripped rat fur off a Peavey 2x10 once - didn’t take too much time. T’was much harder to strip the poly off a bass body IME.
  3. Oh Lordy! That is a fantastic looking instrument! Are you leaving the body a natural colour?
  4. Cracking idea. And execution. Off to sift through local ads for messed up cabs now…
  5. Or sell it to me for £25! 😂
  6. Cut your own pickguard, Ki0gon passive loom and the bits you have - sorted!
  7. I’d love to visit an anechoic chamber. Also love super dead sounding spaces.
  8. Damn! Didn’t know that was a possibility 😂. I’ve yet to try my starter IEM set up (KZ ZS10s & P2). I know one of our two soundies has an XR-something. The other one has a fancypants Soundcraft (I think). No flipping gigs booked in til July though 🤦🏻‍♂️
  9. Isn’t there an app the other members of the band can download to their phones to control their own monitor feeds? That would be one thing less for you to do!
  10. It goes through the install process, but the only thing that shows up then is the uninstall. Must be the old laptop giving up. Will have a pop on my Mac Mini instead. Thanks for the confirmation @andruca 👍
  11. Hello peeps. I’ve previously used the effects editor successfully, but the laptop I had it on has since perished. I’ve tried V.2 on an alternative laptop but the program doesn’t seem to install at all. Not being particularly IT literate, I’m wondering if V.2 is a dud, or if I’ve stumbled across a duff site (zoomeffectmanager.com). Maybe I’m the issue! Anyone with recent version experience? Or a link that works?
  12. That’s a good look 👍
  13. … and then spay a nice thick coat of poly to keep it fresh forever!
  14. The Sonic Foam tips turned up this afternoon. Well happy with my purchase! They feel like they hold the monitor bodies in place, whereas with the (probably undersized) silicon ones seemed to rely on the hooky wire bit. I think I should be able to bounce around quite happily whilst playing without fear of them dropping out. KZ-ZS10 Pro £45 Behringer P2 £50 Sonic Foam tips £15 Provided the gigs have a Soundie who can provide me a monitor feed, that’s a pretty small investment to hear myself (and everyone else) much better, and carry less stuff too!
  15. I have some of these on order, but also found some blue memory foam tips in my box of bits - they don’t fit the buds very well, but blinkin eck they stay in my ears soooo much better! No gig booked in until July atm though, so will be a while til I can try them out properly.
  16. Love this. Could also be a great side line for you!
  17. Thanks for the vid. I tried adjusting the snare and front plate tension previously - was just a duffer. Went to PMT in Cardiff today. They have a(n already built!) Meinl with built in pickups. Sounded like a Cajon. Seriously considering it…
  18. Hiya folks. I’m interested in getting a cajon, but I have no idea what to buy. I tried a Meinl kit, but it was rubbish. Can anyone in-the-know recommend a “Squier” level cajon?
  19. Got the P2 recently. Had the tuner for donkeys, and the in-ears for a couple. Can’t wait to give this a shot!
  20. Oh hang on, this thread is 7 months old 😂
  21. I’ve only played the Gretch - didn’t notice neck thickness. I usually play a P bass. The Gretsch is a nice looking, easy playing, good sounding thing. Will happily gig again.
  22. Christmas has cleared me out, but if this is still here next pay day, I’m in!
  23. I keep looking at this. Got a bit of a thing for odd bases at the moment! Postage a possibility?
  24. Not even that? 😂. Awaiting a response from the seller.
  25. Yeah, that’s what I was expecting. The ones I have bought are flat! 😂 ebay ftw!!! 🤪
