  1. Why not start with a couple of lists. You could say that everyone picks about 3 songs each and you work on them. Or - make a list, collate it all find maybe 7 songs you all love, and then 1 each that you really love and the others don’t mind. 10 songs is a set - may work Then of course there is aspirational vs manageable!
  2. Play it outside in the remaining autumnal sun and get some rays on it to mellow to yellow
  3. Hats off to you, Andy and Dave - it looks banging
  4. Wicked! Lets hope y’all gel
  5. Korina or black Limba is such a lovely wood GLWTS
  6. 3 piece is my preferred as well. My guitarist fills a lot of sonic space - enjoy holding that low end down - keep it pure and enjoy!
  7. Best cab ever
  8. I think probably if it’s your USP as a company you’ll do it. Fender will do it as they have been around since the dawn of time. Other people will use old looking wood purposefully for a similar effect. For example these chaps in France use nowt but local wood, and there are some stunners https://www.alpineguitar.fr
  9. How about really choking the pick so there is very little on show limiting the flex but keeping the thin enjoyment?
  10. That’s appropriate beating
  11. It’s a great book Sits at my bedside
  12. Great amp this - played through it Top bloke to deal with as well
  13. Slab body will play a part, but pick up is vital - I Made a contoured body from a block of ash, it’s not light, but not heavy - but I know the Pick up makes it massive.
  14. I will really re-iterate clamps as a necessity. router, you don’t have to spend the earth on the machine, but it’s worth getting the correct bits where the ball bearing is at the top. I love my Pillar/Bench drill Firsch Forstner bit is required also. Shinto Rasp. Chisels I like Japanese pull saws. ratchet screwdriver and hand held electric one, small screwdriver set Soldering iron Honestly you can pick up things second hand of decent quality, depends how much looking around you want to do. This is not an extensive list but adding to others Good luck
  15. If you want a very beefy jazz pick up look at Haüssel they have a small and a Big pole range-the closest I have heard to a P bass and phenomenal - they have some grunt on em
  16. We would have all accumulated all kinds of gear
  17. Brown eye...
  18. Agreed compression is not to hide poor technique - it’s a tool to make the mix of musical instruments sound musical and balanced
  19. Come up to Bristol and play a few in PMT (if they allow it!) - it will gives you an idea of What you feel comfortable with
  20. You have a big bum - room for another?!
  21. Stop skirting the issue.....🤦🏾‍♂️
