  1. Great colour on the Sandberg FB site
  2. A cruelly underrated bass that is phenomenally tactile and a great great sound as well
  3. You are doing a decent charitable thing sharing its goodness
  4. Don’t disagree about letting it settle, but where would we be without good old british scepticism
  5. Status one is brilliant - Warwick one is firewood
  6. But in 1996 Status Mande an all Graphite Buzzard which was absolutely killer, and completely ripped apart the old boat anchors previously made both in weight and tonally with it’s pre-amp. After JE’s passing the family estate did initially give permission for Status to keep making the bass, however Warwick purchased ‘the rights’ From his son (I think) and ordered Status to smash the moulds and never make it again- now we are left again with the boat anchor POS basses the Warwick versions are. In short, Warwick may have Carved JE’s design, Status (at JE’s bequest) took it to the stratosphere and made it probably one of the best basses ever, Warwick then destroyed anyone’s chance of owning a superb bass and simultaneously produced a complete pile of tripe, just another of example of HPW’s fine moments of which there are many.....
  7. Status Buzzard bass to make just one major eff up
  8. It looks like the spawn of Aquaman and Avatar
  9. I am a fan of full disclosure always
  10. Cheap as chips.......
  11. Fender P bass lyte Is also Pretty sleek
  12. Also the Spector Doug Wimbish if it’s an accurate representation of his own bass will be very very slim - He had Stuart Spector shave it to within an inch of its life when doing it for him
  13. Sandberg MarloweDK is even slimmer at 37mm at the nut and slimmer all around Status Graphite Jazz replacement neck is also on the sleek side
  14. Sorry, it just looked like they were from a website from when you bought it, thought that ‘home’ pictures may draw more folks in, but if that’s its true to its current state, that’s cool
  15. Could be a long day, but that term was hated at the time, so it’s not even de-riguer, it’s just de-riguerogatory. But we should get back to the music
  16. Any pictures of the actual bass?
  17. It was obviously post war, UK rock wasn’t called Pommie or Limey rock, USA rock wasn’t called Deep fried fatties rock, The German artists as a collective did not like the label, therefore it’s offensive. I guarantee it was not said in an endearing way.... To also bundle everything into the ‘rock’ category is pretty lazy as there were elements or rock, prog, electronic etc
  18. Shame that - would have been a result if they had messed that up as well!
  19. Was the bass exchanged or do you have 2 for the price of 1?
  20. Derogatory term given by the British to a very wide genre of music that all the artists hated being called. one such band example is Kraftwerk
  21. MXR Bass chorus Deluxe is not only about the best chorus on the market but it has a flanger built into the pedal too which is good and easy to use. Option if you needed both
  22. Oh, are you selling for someone else?
  23. Good work and very well done - it’s so much fun
  24. I get your point - I certainly didn’t think of it as a gift - he works for it
  25. The switch selector merely says blend. How many positions? What is it blending, single coils/both coils/each pick up/outside or inside coils etc
