  1. Aye that’s a neat trick, but we’ll get told off for yet more spending! I was just putting out there what could be done with equipment we already own, but the real important one as you point out is assigning functionality to those big knobs on the pedal which are easy to see and turn - that is a real handy thing which requires the minimum of PC editing skills
  2. A decent chunk of people buying/using midi enabled pedals looking for a sound like this, will already be having or accounting for having a midi pedal, they can do so much more than just scrolling and you bc an combine midi and non midi pedals. Another easy work around is to have the app open on your phone/pad/computer and attached to the pedal. The app has your own library of saved sounds, or the sounds listed - select the sound, it’s good to go. Not really sure why there is a constant weight placed on PC editing or not PC editing - it’s there if you want to do it, but if you don’t want to, these pedals where it can be done are more than adequate with stock sounds and available ones. If people prefer ‘dials’ then granted they are not physical ones but the Neuroapp uses dials. With or without it there a good pedals on the market, but it doesn’t ‘detract’ from them if they have it.
  3. Thats a misunderstanding of the pedal and software. The software to edit in the app be it iphone/iPad/Mac/PC is free. You have access via the community online via this software to download any sound anyone has placed on there, so if you are daunted by PC editing, don’t be, the likelihood is that either SA, SA artists/affiliates, or normal Joe public will have that sound covered you can learn from and tweak the parameters to your liking. You can of course create your own sound from scratch very easily. The pedal has 6 sounds you can access by flicking switched on the pedal You only need the neurohub for midi and the other about 128 storage places, and of course linking other midi pedals in the SA range. You can use the pedal with disaster area midi devices without the Neurohub Its done wired, not wirelessly for sounds
  4. Not listened to PE for time, but that is Lit - Premier always gives the best beats and production
  5. Love a dog story - congrats buddy
  6. She is great - sorry to hear about your Alfie
  7. Nice little aged finish here, and I checked the frets are lush and flush
  8. Mint for Summer, Tort for Winter Bit of tort here as well.....
  9. Everyone I played was smooth also, that’s double figures
  10. Awesome guy to deal with, and this bass is great - GLWTS
  11. Badass and one of the best chaps around
  12. Best description ever
  13. I don’t want to tarnish them unfairly, but there are posts on this site to back it up, doesn’t mean they are all bad, but I think Sandberg are better
  14. They do good basses, but there have been reports on some QC and aftermarket care not being tip top - not loads, but enough to put me off and certainly more than Sandberg
  15. Let’s break it down. Wonderful playability, sound, construction, aftermarket support whether it’s bought new or second hand and the feeling of having an old friend by your side. And Hölger is a dude. I always say with a sandberg, they are impossible to hate and there is a good chance you will love.
  16. Bit harsh in the deserving part - there will be better, there will be lesser players. He may well be big in Japan, and if he is respected there and gets people into playing music despite not being better than player X then good on him. Pole alignment is for the OCD (nowt wrong with that) as long as they are equally unaligned across strings then the magnetic field effect will be the same. Some decent sounds, and looks pretty cool
  17. the man himself is posting on a thread on TalkBass with some info https://www.talkbass.com/threads/fender-jino-jazz-bass.1486679/page-2

  19. Oh and how can I forget - Status Stealth, one of the finest basses ever made known to man will be hovering at that mark, depending how many strings you want
  20. When I played the prototype in the Sandberg factory there was absolutely no neck dive at all, unless they have vastly changed the instruments I can envisage how neck dive would suddenly appear. The body wood on that batch was Cedar, they have moved to Paulownia (or empress which G&L call it and use extensively) and yes @jrixn1 they use Norwegian maple for the neck instead of Canadian which is lighter, possibly a bit snappier, but equally as stable. With the lighter weight wood, you probably really need the pre-amp for a bit more punch/heft, but the Sandberg black label pick ups on their own are good enough, that of course adds a little weight, but is a necessary one. All in all, no neck dive
  21. What the superlight basses?
  22. Sandberg Superlight series
  23. Tech21 DP3X Tech21 PSA 2.0 Cali76 CB compressor
  24. Don’t disagree with that at all and maybe cost wise it’s probably correct, but yeah I could sell off the dUg amp and dUg pedal and PSA, maybe get a clean power amp for a one of these units, or get a powered speaker, etc. To change to that set up for me is no point where I have my perfect amp and cab combination, within a drive/clean sound I like to change the basses I have for something different. If I had unlimited time and funds - I’d have them all!
  25. Some of these units do absolutely stellar things, and I would dearly love something like that, of possibly the rabbit hole of a fractal FM3. Even if you wanted synth type sounds etc the helix does a more than decent job if you spend time with it. If you really really want synth, nothing replaces keys and a Moog for example. Ultimately, I use drive and compression, that’s about it so it’s wasted on me, but playing around would be loads of fun
