4. I have tried this instrument and it's a cracking bass. Classic maple neck P bass tone, no dead notes and in superb condition. I would have bought it, but found I need a jazz profile neck to fit my rather small hands. Si is a great guy to deal with too. Bassdog - the headstock front is nearly always darker than the rest of the neck on Fender basses of this era. This is very normal, but I cant remember why - think its the varnish Ill let Si explain as he has 'the knowledge'.
 5.
This bass is ++AWESOME++!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why buy the real thing for less when you can buy this cheap copy for more! ++GREAT DEAL++ Best bass I've ever played!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Encore !
 6. Swap for my Orsom Wellies ? The wellies are truly orsom, so so cool, very rock, plenty of mojo ( = damage), as recommended by fender, and exact models ( = Warmoth neck/ Allparts hardware) of the ones used in Citizen Cane.
 7. Bought a small amp by post from Marty recently. It arrived special delivery, thoroughly packed, and in the original box with all the original bits, instruction manual etc. Superb. It was an amp that had clearly been looked after, and it was sent with care and consideration. Very very pleased . Communications were great too. He kept me informed all the way . In summary : a top man and a pleasure to deal with.

 13.
John Hall is an American. Americans and their brand(name) are a bit weird. The company called Monster Inc. (yep, form the cables) has made a list of who to sue for using the word 'monster' in their name. Among them is the Dutch village called Monster. This village was founded somewhere in the 13th century; Monster Inc. in 1978...
.... and then there is a wonderful tale of The MacDonald - yes the current scottish chief of the clan Donald - approached by the lawyers of guess who.......dont know if its true or not, but it made a good story. Some Ric copies are excellent. They are not Ricks but they provide that iconic design to people who cant afford the real thing
