1. Small, lightweight amp head. I bought this head new from Bassdirect a couple of years ago to use as a backup, but I've never needed to use it. I used my Markbass head instead). Played at home a few times, and once in a folk session and thats it. Almost new condition. Comes in original box with manual etc £150 including UK mainland postage. 2. Sent some hangers to Will. Perfect transaction. Great communication. Great guy
3. WITHDRAWN Tried it again, and it's just too good to get rid of for now. I just hate being indecisive. Apologies to any interested parties.
4. Two Hercules model GSP39WB, in original (but slightly scratched) packaging. The hangers inside are perfect. Good quality wall hangers that 'auto grab' your bass, The cheapest I've seen these is £9.90 each, so looking for £13.50 for the pair, including UK postage. Bought new, but never used......... like so many things .
5. Aguilar GS112 cab with tweeter. 8 ohm version. Sonically and cosmetically in excellent condition. Quality bass cabinet, full and superbly deep sounding for a 12" cab. It can handle the bottom B of a 5 string with ease and with a stingray 5 it could shake the optics at the bar. I combined it with a Markbass LM2 amp to provide a powerful but compact and highly portable rig. However, in the end I hardly used it, as the type of music I play has changed. £275 collected from Nottingham (close to J25 M1). No trades thanks.
6. What a relief ......temptation dissipated........well, until the next attack of GAS Well done to the lucky buyer
7.
Thank you C, much appreciated Should you feel compelled to give in to your temptation, there's a Sunday lunch and plenty of Aberlour a'Bundadh waiting here for you and your good lady Take care brother.
Oh God. Even more temptation.........
8. A bump for Chiliwailer, a really nice guy, and particularly because I have tried this bass in the flesh. It had a clear open sound - to my ears classic early P bass, and it is in remarkable condition, case and all. It had one the easiest necks I've played on an early P bass. Just wish I could have bought it, ..... Im still tempted.

10. Met up to try a few basses. We had had plenty of previous email conversations and he answered me honestly, fully, with knowledge and sensitivity, even when I asked dumb questions. It was therefore a real pleasure to finally meet up with this hospitable, knowledgeable and warm hearted guy. One of the best.
11. I tried this Sterling recently on a recent trip down south. I would have seriously considered it myself if I didnt have my G&L to do the same job . It had a fast neck, excellent tone and was in super condition. And a big bump for Chiliwailer, a hospitable knowledgeable and warm hearted guy, one of the best, from me, a committed Northerner ......now where's me whippet gone ?
12. Blimey This place is a mine of knowledge.
13.
I'm pretty sure someone's after one of these on BC right now; .
Arrrgh ! How did I miss this ............? One still wanted......

16.
I should be awarded for my persistence. Edit: which means I'm taking my chance on another bump.
And bump for persistance ! How heavy is it please ?
17. It is also my pleasure to record an excellent transaction. Rapid shipping, excellent communications, and went out of his way to make things easy and quick and convenient . Big thanks to a real gent.
18.
Not sure what you mean here. If you mean that they are well put together and that quality was once again being sought after in the Fullerton factory, and also that these basses play superbly well due to the construction of the bass, then I agree that they are 'clunkily' made. If you mean something else then I'm at a loss to understand. I may not be an expert in Fender basses of this era but if my two are anything to go by then I'm very happy indeed to possess two clunky basses.
Just a personal opinion and apologies. Clunkily should have read chunkily. This was my impression of the (only ) two 1983s I have I tried, which had chunky necks for me. Delighted they are great for you. Fabrocker, people are giving you good advice, and are being really polite to you despite your clear commercial intention of turning a quick buck. Of course this is your right, but now we know what you paid for it, you are probably alienating the very audience you are trying to sell to. Good luck
19. Personally I would hang onto it. 1983 P basses are rather clunkily made, but are probably on the cusp of becoming desirable/collectable. You may well realise your value in a one or two year's time. Best wishes
20. Ive had one of these for 20 years. Fab little combos. Wonderful sound. Bump for a nice amp, and Jay is a great guy to deal with.
