2. Thank you. Sadly a bit too heavy for my dodgy neck ! Beautiful bass. I love that combination of colours GLWTS
3. ..............and killer sound. So does the sound differ from Jazz basses of other eras then ? Be good if you could describe why the sound is good for potential buyers (like me) Thanks
4.
Still available...and the price has not increased.
But has it secretly gone down to a Fender Japan Bass V ?? I think we should be told........
5. +1 This is a slightly custom bass because I got to design it down to the exact specs. ......Love your honesty in 'slightly'... thank you ! Damn good basses these. IMHO these USA G&L basses are highly underrated as performance instruments. My 4 and 5 string 2000 and 2500 G&L have a solid almost 'pure' bass sound that seem to cut through even in the loudest rock bands. Good luck with the sale
6. Phenomenal ! No chance of hiding that one from the wife......... To the top !!
7. A quick note to say, Daniel was a great guy to chat to and very genuine. Seconded ! One of the best. Good luck with your forthcoming adventure Dan...
8. Maybe the laws of physics have reversed. Is this what a deflationary Universe would look like? Just waiting for my cup to rise from the desk due to gravitational repulsion........

13. Beautiful restoration there. The original soundcloud track in Kevin's thread has gone missing. Any chance of hearing how it sounds ?
14. STrangely I got form FlatEric too ! Great sound to me, versatile I would say. Surprisingly easy to play. Compact, so a useful bass in a crowded pub session
15.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131424241881?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Half a double bass must make it a single bass
16. Now this Gentlemen, is how to sell a bass. Bump for the most comprehensive ad I've seen on Basschat for a long while. To the top !
17. I've had the same splendid experience as others . Bought a GK cab from david. It was exactly as described, in superb condition, extremely well packed and sent by fast courier. A fast and easy transaction with great communication. Couldn't have wished for more.
18.
I would be a bit concerned that the neck might come off. It does not appear to be well secured. :-) Great bass...
19. This should be a really wonderful sounding set up. The older Eden pre-XLT cabs have a warmer sound to my ears (something you can big up if you want in an advert), and a 2x10 paired with a 2x12 should be lush. My feeling is that you'd have to realistic about price. The newer and much lighter entrants to the high end cab market ( Barefaced, Aguilar, Schroeder) have made previous generations like Eden less desirable, even though they are excellent. I've seen an wt800 go for £400. Usual thing : gear losing value if its not in vogue Soundwise though, I suspect whoever tries it will be happy bunny. Good luck.
20. The solution for me was an (earthed) laptop charger that I happend to have - it was rated 19v and 3.4A and had a 3 pin input to the transformer block, so I guessed it was earthed . Luckily it had (i) enough ampage, (ii) the same polarity and the same fitting as the power input on the BG-75. With the earthing problem now solved, I think the Double 4 BG-75 is a wonderful little combo, highly portable, and with a more vintage sound than other PJB stuff . Its amazingly loud for its tiny size. I am using it in an acoustic pub session usually coimprising 5+ guitars, piano accordian, a trombone, bouzoukis, mandolins, 2 bodrhan players and other punters talking. Alan, at Synergy the distributors, has been incredibly helpful and supportive throughout. I'm now rather chuffed with this little amp, and I understand there is a possibility of running it off a battery in the future. I await developments.
21. You're right. Their supplied (unearthed) adapter is 20v at 2.75A, whilst mine is a good quality laptop charger (earthed) which is rated at 19v 3.42A , so it should have plenty of juice, and it also has the right polarity. Once again Synergy were very helpful. They suggested that given the slightly lower voltage, I check for transients at full volume, and loss of power. I tried this and there was no obvious distortion, or loss of power with my adaptor, just a very satisfying quietness to the combo..... So this seems to be a good solution for me, and with the earthed adaptor, I can use my old and poorly screened basses with this excellent little combo. Synergy say they will be bringing out their own earthed adaptor very soon.
