  1. You probably won’t like this, it’s a 2013 Gibson EB.
  2. Always loved the look of these but never had a chance to play one. It seems surprising heavy at 4.4k for a chambered body.
  3. Don’t know why Fender dropped these, good shape, what’s the weight like? I haven’t heard of mint red before 😆😁😃😂
  4. I had the strap fitment come undone mid gig and my Jazz bass hit the ground knocking over the aviom unit in the process . Not cool.
  5. Looks like you may become the test case!
  6. Why’s the neck on back to front on the Limelight? Must make tuning awkward. There was a reason why Leo designed 4 on one side.
  7. I thin k it should be a Rickenfaker, 4003 shape but with a hollow body. Nice big slash ‘f’ hole like the 360. Try a piezo pickup bridge like the Fishman to give it an alternative sound to what e er magnetic pickup grabs your fancy!
  8. Used to have an Olympic white US Precision Fretless with a white guard - the one I shouldn’t have let go! Sadly I can’t find an pics of it 😢
  9. Bling ‘snot my thing, but definitely cool, you should have had Elvis’ gold suit too!
  10. Tort on Black - handsome. Much better than white or black.
  11. I don’ t think we ever got a picture of the Guild so here it is. Has really nice maple back and for under £500 is reasonably priced.
  12. I suppose the thin line was Fender’s attempt at a Gibson sound. For years Gibson have tried the opposite without success.
  13. Me too! Having struggled with the close spacing of a mandolin, it’s a big jump down from basses, I bought an Octave Mandola which tunes the same but is a lot more comfortable spacing. I’m on my second a hand made maple backed one by Robin Greenwood who has a workshop near Poole in Dorset. Lovely instrument.
  14. Would I be right in thinking this version is short scale?
  15. Love the look of them, but like FinnDave, don’t think I could handle 30” scale, and I think they have incredibly skinny necks, perhaps not quite as thin as the Framus Bill Wyman used to play but pretty close!
  16. Forget about a bass, just by a classic guitar like this one, sorry it’s one year out,a ‘47 L5 for a little under £6grand on Reverb
  17. I wonder the author of the “History” hasn’t published an updated version. They has been quite a bit of innovation in the last 17 years - Jaguar bass, Dimension, Rascal to mention just a few. Time someone wrote a new one.
  18. Here’s another that may be questionable, what do bcers think. Claims to be ‘78 with an added active J pickup. Obviously the P pup is different too.
  19. If you really want to go fretted why not just get a luthier to fret your Sire?
  20. I wasn’t excited, I thought the price was unbelievably cheap and probably a load of nasty Chinese junk, but interesting to show others what’s out there!
