  1. It’s an auction and whether it is on line or a live one people get carried away with bidding so sometimes overpay.
  2. Great basses, presumably this will be one of those made by Peerless in Korea? The quality of their instruments is superb, my JC is one sold under their own name.
  3. 17mm is getting a bit close, it was the string spacing put me off an Ibanez when I bought my last 5 string, I was replacing a Jazz V and was happy with a bit more space. I’m not sure I’m ready for multi scale yet, but never say never.
  4. They are certainly a bit different. The fanned fretboard in your photo makes it look like a twisted neck ( which I’m sure it isn’t ) just a weird optical illusion. Enjoy it, it’s a bold move, one day we may all be playing something similar.
  5. Chas Chandler - Gibson EB2 / Epiphone Rivoli. (Not so impressed when I finally bought one but given current resale prices, wish I’d kept it)
  6. Dancing in the street - Martha and the Vandellas
  7. Nice colour. 👍🏼
  8. Had no idea they were still manufacturing in Japan. I suppose therefore it came with a Japanese price tag?
  9. Fab buy, Mr. Tambourine man!
  10. My Gibson EB 5 has 19mm. The newer model with the longer horns is the same. They are fitted with the Babiscz bridge.

  20. One monkey don’t stop no show - Joe Tex
  21. The F. Jazz 5 string came out in the 90’s, Ibanez Sdgr seemed popular , but nothing much stands out from then, perhaps I didn’t find the music that inspired. Oops misread that you’re talking 00s not 90s sorry.
  22. I use a basic pair of Sony headphones plugged into a Blackstar Bass Headphone amp. This plugs straight into the bass’s Jack outputs so no need to use your practice amp. It also has a fairly crude range of rhythm tracks and an auxiliary so you can plug MP3/ phone or whatever your source of music is. Cheap is h and effective solution.
  23. Bit of a rarey, looks to be in great Nick.
  24. Working for the Yankee dollar The Skids
  25. Surfing Safari - Beach Boys
