3.
It's next week old chap, hope you can make it then
Must be overworked. Thanks mate
  4. I have been toying with the idea of going as it's under 1 hour drive but I'm shattered after work and have the house to myself today. Enjoy the bass bash
  5.
Seems like some of them have been around that long.
Lol. Thanks possibly 4 decades then 😉
  6. Nice work. What does it sound like? Might buil myself one.
  7. Think it's all about personal taste in music. Some bands mentioned in this thread are stadium filling bands playing for 40+ decades still going strong. Their audience consist of teens to OAP age. My choice of an overrated band however is Oasis. Singer is Amy Winehouse.
  8.
Its easy with Barefaced cabs. They're programmed to incrementally distress with time. I look after mine like a baby and yet the Tolex is starting to peel.
And they ain't cheap

    Pedal Board Blues
It's crazy, I get this great dirty distorted sustain though the headphones and nothing on stage. Blue
I haven't played on stage for about 25 years. But I can only think of that different settings would apply live and studio like environment room. Live you have other instruments mixing in with frequencies so I'd say try different eq settings live. I've listened to isolated studio Steve Harris tracks and I live the sound. I also listened to isolated live sound. Two completely different sounds. The live sound seems to have plenty of gain but it sits just Steve Harris like in the mix.

    Pedal Board Blues

I've got the same issue with both electric and bass guitar. I think the sound from amp is affected by accoustics of the room, whilst headphones are direct into ear.
  11. Shuttke max sounds sharper to me. I mean more highs.

    Warren Huart

Does anyone follow Warren Huart on You Tube? I watch some of his tutorials but me not being consistent, it's difficult to learn mixing and mastering songs.

  14.
1 - Iron Maiden - Live after Death Next chapter: "Dad, what bass should I buy?"
Live After Death album was what influenced me to start playing a bass. I remember listening to it on vinyl and looking at the pictures within the cover. I'm biased so I'd suggest a p bass.or Steve Harris signature p bass😉
  15. What pick ups has it got?
  16. That sticky ricky sounds pretty... what's the word that rhymes?
  17. I bought a Ds1 recently for a hard core £7 in mint condition.
  18. Osteopath sessions and regular exercise including core body exercises may reduce the back pain.
  19. People like that are total waste of space. Daydreamers!
  20.
Mmmmm I think that's the point. I do not know how old you are but I am sixty and alongside all the "artists" That we all know and love...Beatles ,Stones ,led zeppelin...erm ...Maiden , er ...oh I don't know ..whomever you think is cool (groovy baby!) there has always been "pop" acts... that have been contrived to "make money". Indeed all the great acts "made money" when they could...it's what made the world go around. I have a friend who was a part of the original Black lace ..Agadoo and all that pap....He is a brilliant guitarist and musician that made a lot of people happy with his " pop"music .... You don't have to like it ...but hey ...somebody does...and that's the whole point of music...well I think so anyway. Enjoy your career...I have enjoyed mine and I genuinely wish you well.
I was around during 80s and probably the artists worked harder than they do nowadays. I see your point though.
  21.
That nowadays money-grabbing music industry, eh? It's such a recent phenomenon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BKt07B3A6U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdSmokR0Enk ...etc.
Milly vanily wasn't quite an artist...
  22. I'm a Maiden fan but always liked Level 42. The music and singing is spot on. Something a modern pop band nowadays struggle in the nowadays money grabbing music industry.
