I use a combination of Ableton live lite (came free with Focusrite interface) and Audacity.

I own Fender an Squier and they both sound the way I want them to sound.

I use Ableton live and no way I'm getting Mac. It's overrated.....

My Sony laptop had it. The hard drive has gone ages ago. Lost quite a few files. I replaced the drive with ssd that works well but it's only 250 gb so nearly filled up. Can anyone recommend a good and reliable PC or laptop to use purely for music/ recording? Currently I use Windows 7.

Playing or fishing?

I've recently recorded a bass for a song.The bass alone sounds sloppy but in the mix it cuts through and sounds great. I love listening to isolated bass tracks.They prove that the bass doesn't need to be over complicated.

It's great. I've done something similar.But I'm jealous when people say I've nothing to do. I never have enough time.

Perhaps a reputable bass shop will allow me to test their amps as long as they stock 3 I like minus barefaced

Is the look of the 410 I like. I can tweak the sound with di or final mix.

Rattling the house is not an issue living in the cul de sac.Would the 410 have a different tonal range than 115. I'm after a midrange sound.

Hopefully the title is not misleading again! I'm hoping to get a 410 cab one day and have been looking online for something that looks tasty and reasonable priced. Currently I use 100w 115 Fender Rumble and I find the sound and performance satisfying. Now, I like both barefaced and ampeg 410 but barefaced is nearly twice as expensive as the ampeg but ampeg has been around donkeys years. How do you guys choose your cab?I don't gig but from aesthetical point of view I GAS for a 410.
